Expert Review: Nhow Brussels Bloom

Nhow Brussels Bloom, a Michelin Key Selected property in Brussels, offers a distinctive and vibrant stay that consistently earns high praise from guests. This 4-star art-themed hotel stands out for its unique design, excellent service, and engaging atmosphere.

1. Overall Rating & Sentiment

The general consensus for Nhow Brussels Bloom is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing it as "excellent," "superb," and "wonderful." It holds an "Excellent" rating of 8.7 based on over 6,300 reviews on Agoda, and a "Wonderful" rating of 9.2 on Expedia. Booking.com reviews also reflect strong satisfaction, with many guests rating it 9.0 ("Superb") or 10 ("Exceptional"). The hotel is a Michelin Key Selected property, signifying a high-quality stay.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently laud Nhow Brussels Bloom for its innovative art-themed design, the vibrant and creative ambiance, and the excellent breakfast experience. The spacious and clean rooms are frequently mentioned, as is the friendly and efficient staff. Its location, offering easy access to public transport and cultural landmarks, is another significant highlight. The hotel encourages guests to be creative and explore, with facilities like an eighth-floor gym offering inspiring views and an "experience floor" with galleries and studios.

3. Room Quality

The hotel boasts 305 rooms and suites, each thoughtfully designed to replicate the appearance of an art gallery with bold artwork and custom-designed murals. Rooms are described as clean, spacious, and comfortable, with the smallest standard rooms being a generous 35 square meters. While sleeping areas feature minimalist furnishings and monochrome décor, the bathrooms are uniquely styled like photography darkrooms, some with moody color palettes and splashes of fluorescent paint. In-room amenities typically include a coffee machine, an oversized infinity work desk, an extra-wide flat-screen television, free Wi-Fi, and mini-fridges. Many rooms also offer impressive skyline views of the city. Some guests note the presence of hard floors instead of carpet.

4. Dining Experience

Dining at Nhow Brussels Bloom is a highlight for many. The extensive breakfast buffet, served in a large, bright space adorned with pop art murals, is a major draw. It features a wide selection of continental options, fresh fruit, made-to-order eggs, smoothies, granola, yogurt, and a unique "waffle van" where guests can make their own fresh Belgian waffles. The on-site restaurant, SMOODS, serves dinner with a menu inspired by local and international cuisine or street food, offering a variety of tasty dishes in a stylish setting. The hotel also features a trendy cocktail bar for evening drinks and nightcaps.

5. Service & Staff

Guest feedback frequently commends the "incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming" staff. From smooth check-in procedures to attentive bar and reception staff, hospitality is a strong point. The cleaning staff is also noted for their kindness and efficiency. Guest Relations are available to assist with recommendations and local exploration.

6. Location & Accessibility

Nhow Brussels Bloom is conveniently located in the vibrant Botanique area, just minutes from Brussels' North Station and adjacent to Le Botanique, a cultural venue that was once the city's botanical gardens. While not directly in the city center, it offers excellent accessibility. The Botanique tram and metro stops are right outside, making it easy to explore the city. The Grand-Place, a major attraction, is about a 15-minute tram ride away, or a 20-minute walk from Gare du Nord. The hotel's position allows for easy access to various districts and green spaces, offering a peaceful city break.

7. Value & Pricing

Many guests consider Nhow Brussels Bloom to offer excellent value for money. The typical room rate in the past month has been around 113.04 EUR, which is slightly below the city's average of 124.27 EUR. Room prices can range from approximately $101 to $437, depending on the room type and booking provider. It is particularly recommended for "trendsetters on a budget" who appreciate fresh design at a reasonable price, especially when booking early.

8. Common Complaints

While largely positive, some recurring criticisms include slow check-in procedures, with some guests reporting wait times of 30-45 minutes and issues with bed allocations. Some guests have found room servicing to be disappointing at times. The pricing at the hotel bar is occasionally noted as "shocking" or high. A few guests have mentioned a lack of storage space and hangers in rooms. Furthermore, some find the location "a bit too far" from the Grand Place if walking is preferred, and the immediate neighborhood might not offer many interesting restaurants or shops right outside the hotel. One review also described a room as "terrible dark and depressive". For street-facing rooms, noise levels can be higher due to the hotel's vibrant heart of Brussels location. Lastly, some guests have noted that room service and gym access hours are limited, often closing past 10 PM, which can be inconvenient for late-returning travelers.

We had the best experience in this hotel. The location was perfect, close to shops and transport. The service in the hotel was outstanding, from check in to the bar to the cleanliness, the staff couldn’t have done enough, even going out of their way to make us a specially requested cocktail. The room was definitely my favorite part of our stay it was nothing like we’d stayed in before, from the th...

1. You can hear every little noise from the street, especially when the tram passes by. 2. There are renovation works happening every morning from 8 a.m. on the floor above us, and the noise goes straight into my ears. 3. There was no shower gel or conditioner in the bathroom, and I only found out once I was already in the shower. 4. The shower water was barely warm even at the highest temperature...

Ca. 30 minute ride from the Zaventem airport, close to Botanic Garden. Boutique type of art decoration - surprising entry to the room (see one of the pics). Friendly staff yet one service hiccup: I had to ask for an iron three times before it was finally brought into my room). Very good food quality, I truly enjoyed lunch (buffet) and breakfast. Functional conference room although sockets built in...

We stayed here during Tomorrowland weekend. We were a little worried that the colorful splatter at the entry would bother us, but honestly we were fine. There is a curtain that can be used to hide the entryway if needed. The table along the window was SO nice to have. Creating a ton of counter space. The breakfast was really good with fresh juice and food. Lots of options. And the staff were amazi...

A fantastic hotel placed in the north of central Brussels. Probably it is not best area in the city. Main public transport options are relatively close (metro and train 3 min walking, train station 10 min away). To reach Brussels Grand Place it is a 20 min walk, for reference. The hotel is modern, inspired in art and creativity. On the ground floor you can find the lobby and front desks and self s...
