Les Jardins d'Anaïs, a Michelin Key Selected property in Luxembourg City, consistently receives high praise for its charming atmosphere, exceptional service, and gourmet dining, offering a luxurious and intimate experience for guests.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
Les Jardins d'Anaïs generally garners overwhelmingly positive sentiment, with guests frequently describing it as "wonderful," "exceptional," and a "beautiful, charming boutique hotel". It boasts high ratings on review platforms, often achieving scores of 9.0 or 10.0, highlighting its appeal for a classic, romantic, and relaxing stay.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently laud several aspects of Les Jardins d'Anaïs. The standout features include its tranquil yet accessible location, the meticulously designed and spacious rooms, the personalized and friendly service, and the excellent gourmet restaurant. The hotel's "Michelin Key" selection underscores its quality, and its Michelin-starred restaurant is a significant draw. Other highlights mentioned are the secure private parking, delicious breakfast, and the beautiful, peaceful garden area where guests can relax.
3. Room Quality
The hotel offers seven contemporary rooms, each uniquely designed to create a distinct atmosphere, ranging from themes like "Provence" to "African savannah" or a rustic "library" room. Rooms are consistently described as spacious, gorgeous, clean, comfortable, and elegantly furnished, equipped with amenities such as heating, air conditioning, a mini-bar, and a sitting area. Many rooms feature a terrace with garden furniture, offering lovely views. The bathrooms are particularly noted for being luxurious, stylish, and often large, some even including a separate toilet room. Comfortable bedding and extra pillows are also appreciated by guests.
4. Dining Experience
The dining experience at Les Jardins d'Anaïs is a major highlight, centered around its gourmet French restaurant, which holds a Michelin star. The cuisine is described as both creative and classic, with a strong emphasis on seasonal and local products. The restaurant offers tasting menus such as "La découverte des Jardins" and "Anaïs fait son Marché," featuring dishes like fillet of smoked sturgeon with gin and caviar sorbet, or lacquered Iberian pork. Guests can dine in an elegant veranda or on the terrace, enjoying views of the landscaped garden. Breakfast is highly praised, described as delicious and comprehensive, with options including perfectly cooked eggs on demand and gluten-free choices.
5. Service & Staff
The service and staff at Les Jardins d'Anaïs receive glowing reviews for their hospitality. Guests consistently describe the team as friendly, helpful, attentive, and welcoming. The owners, Annabelle Hazard and Pascal Soutiran, are noted for their personal touch and passion for gastronomy, contributing to the hotel's warm, family-home feeling. This dedication creates a high-end service experience where guests feel truly cared for.
6. Location & Accessibility
The hotel is discreetly nestled in the historic Clausen district, a calm and peaceful neighborhood on the edge of Luxembourg City. Despite its serene setting, it offers excellent accessibility, being just a 5 to 15-minute walk to the city center and major attractions like Place d'Armes, the Adolphe Stone Bridge, and the Grand Ducal Palace. The hotel provides free private parking on-site, which is a significant convenience for guests with vehicles. Additionally, a free bus service to the city center is available nearby, and Luxembourg Airport is about a 12-minute drive away.
7. Value & Pricing
While specific price ranges are not extensively detailed in the reviews, Les Jardins d'Anaïs is positioned as a luxury and charming hotel. The general sentiment from guests suggests that the exceptional quality of the rooms, dining, service, and location justifies the cost, with many recommending it for a special or romantic stay. One review did mention it as "too expensive for the quality", but this appears to be an outlier amidst the overwhelmingly positive feedback.
8. Common Complaints
Recurring complaints are minimal. One minor issue noted by a guest was a side entrance door that did not shut properly, raising a slight security concern, though the surrounding area was perceived as safe. Another guest reported noise from the front entrance starting at 8 AM if the window was open. While one review mentioned a perceived lack of adequate staff potentially leading to unclean rooms and a shortage of clean towels, this is largely contradicted by numerous other reviews praising the cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff.

We went with high expectations and were unfortunately disappointed. Tasting menus can be expensive and totally worth it, but when the food is below average with very questionable ingredients the price becomes more of an insult. Nothing really had a gastronomical quality (other than small portions which is to be expected). One dish had a few pieces of simple boiled cabbage leaves as a side. My main...

Disappointing Restaurant This was our second visit to this restaurant. We were underwhelmed the first time but decided to give it another chance. Unfortunately, this experience was even worse. The quality of the food was average at best — certainly not what one would expect from an establishment positioning itself as gastronomic. The presentation was equally uninspired, lacking any sense of fines...

Very lovely, individual rooms. It's not all perfectly clean but with a lot of charm. The staff is extremely friendly and (this is really worth mentioning) incredibly attractive. All of them. It's like the most attractive people of the whole country all work in this hotel. Confusing but nice.

All I can say is “wow!” The service was impeccable, the outdoor space was so relaxing, and most of all the restaurant completely surpassed our expectations. We went to a Michelin star restaurant the next day, and it didn’t even come close to being as good as the course meal at the hotel. The rooms were well appointed and spacious, with an antique sort of feel to them. The location was great, a qui...

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting, with a special atmosphere. Also, the service is impeccable. After three visits, we unfortunately haven't been convinced by their cuisine though. Indeed, they have lost their Michelin star again, as the food is French gastronomy but lacks the surprise and excellence. We also found a hair in our dessert.

Had a superb lunch here during Resto Days. The service was attentive and friendly. Very professional. The food was flavorful and gorgeously plated. We had a three course meal and really enjoyed it. Downsize was I was hungry just 3 hours later. I would love a bit more with the serving sizes.
