Beautiful apartment worth the extra cost. We looked at other options on Airbnb which were cheaper, but the quality of design and finish made this place a memorable and enjoyable place to stay. Very close to Nijo Castle which has a great tour and a short walk to the markets. Great little coffee shop (Imaya kyoto coffee) just down the street worth a 3 minute walk for a quality coffee everyday too.

While amenities were minimal due to the hotel's SDGs initiatives, there were plenty of kitchen supplies, making for an enjoyable stay. There was a book in the garden library that listed Kyoto's bakeries, and I found a nearby bakery listed, so I went there. Flip up!'s bagels were delicious! Also, unlike most hotels, sin...

The bath (made with egg-shaped Japanese cypress) was especially comfortable, and we stayed in it for as long as we could (lol). By the time we left, all three of us were thinking, "We don't want to go home yet." We wish we could hav...
