Excellent stay — thoughtful design, generous space, and genuinely warm service This was my third visit to Kyoto, and as with my previous stays, the standard of accommodation in the city has once again proved reassuringly high. I have stayed at two other nearby hotels on earlier trips — both very good — but this particular property stood out for its space, functionality, and attention to detail, es...

This hotel is tucked away down a narrow quiet street just a short walk from Kyoto station. A little further in the opposite direction is a bus stop that takes you to the major sights to the East of Kyoto. Not a huge number of restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity but more than enough within about 10 minutes walk. Our room was very large and comfortable, with all of the amenities you cou...

I'm not really impressed with some of the reception staff tbh as their service attitude definitely has room for improvement based on Japanese standards. But the Taiwanese lady with the long hair (Lin, if i got her name correctly) and the Japanese gentleman with the curly hair (i didn...

Absolute gem! Only a 3 min walk from Kyoto station but tucked in a tiny lane behind the main street, so it’s quiet. Worth paying extra to get the better rooms as they are bigger, have a washing machine and kitchenette.
