Some rooms include special touches like a smartphone sleep box, aromatherapy lamp, and a Monocle book. Beds are often highlighted as super comfortable. Value & Pricing
With average room rates ranging from $301 to $350, Inhabit, Southwick Street is positioned as an upscale hotel that offers a unique blend of comfort, sophistication, and a distinctive wellness experience. Many guests feel the quality and amenities justify the price, particularly for those who value a memorable and distinct hotel stay in a prime location. However, some guests have expressed that the room quality, particularly the size, did not always align with the price segment, finding it sometimes "overpriced" or feeling "cheap and poorly thought-out" for a Design Hotel.
Common Complaints
While generally well-received, some recurring issues and criticisms include:
- Room Size: The most frequent complaint is that certain room types, particularly the "Sleeper" and "Cosy" rooms, can be very small, leading to feelings of claustrophobia for some guests. Bathrooms are also often noted as being impossibly small.
- Inconsistencies and Minor Issues: A few guests reported a lack of essential items like shower caps or sufficient hooks for coats/towels in rooms. There were also mentions of inconsistent provision of toiletries between rooms.
- Maintenance/Facility Concerns: Isolated incidents include a report of an "awful sewer smell" in a specific room (room 220) and a melted control panel affecting room temperature. Some stairs between floors reportedly lack elevator access.
- Technology & Check-in: One guest mentioned outdated USB-B ports and a significant 30-minute check-in time.
- Breakfast Inclusions: A guest suggested some breakfast "extras" should be inclusive rather than incurring additional charges.

Loved staying here! Very friendly and professional staff. Beautifully decorated. Great location, a short stroll from Paddington Station. Loved the creative storage space in the rooms. The scrambled eggs and toast at breakfast were delicious served in a bright and cheery room. The rooms are small but it's London, you spend all day out discovering this amazing city! The lift was out of service...

Strange one really. 1st - Staff were really nice, warm and helpful so rest of the review isn’t their fault. However : Pros - decent location for tourist stuff - nice staff - nice lobby/library Cons- - This is not a 4 star hotel. No hotel with sachets of nescafe can be classed as such :) - Rooms are sooooooo small - Cleanliness wasn’t great, hair in the bedsheets etc - low quality sweaty linens

I had a great stay at this hotel. The reception staff were very cooperative and always checked if I needed anything, which made the experience feel very welcoming. The room was cleaned daily, and I really appreciated the modern design throughout the hotel. I especially loved the use of wood in many areas—it gives the place a warm and stylish touch. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Good location but depends a lot on the room The location is convenient and the infrared sauna was the highlight of my stay. The hotel is clean and has a calm atmosphere, which is nice for a short city visit. My room, however, had a window that opened only toward the hallway, which made it difficult to get any fresh air. It was also quite noisy at night because of the interior layout. For the pri...
