Expert Review: Hotel Indy

Hotel Indy, Indianapolis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, offers a sophisticated and comfortable stay in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. 2. Key Highlights

Guests particularly love several aspects of Hotel Indy:

  • Design & Ambiance: The hotel boasts a clean, modern, and chic decor, with stylish common areas featuring velvet and leather couches. It's part of the Tribute Portfolio, meaning it has a unique, independent design that reflects the local culture.
  • Rooftop Bar: The Cannon Ball Lounge, the city's only downtown rooftop bar, is a major draw, offering panoramic views and uniquely crafted cocktails.

Each room typically includes a king bed, a small chaise lounge, a table, a smart TV, a coffee station with a refrigerator, and plenty of outlets and USB ports. Bathrooms are also noted as spacious with great hot water showers. While the modern and clean aesthetic is generally well-received, some guests have noted the exposed concrete ceilings in the rooms, which, while part of the hotel's Brutalist architectural heritage, can be perceived as slightly cold by some.

4. Dining Experience

The hotel offers several dining options:

  • The Hulman: This on-site restaurant specializes in American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Hotel Indy is a wonderful hotel. It offers clean, awesome rooms in a convenient location to downtown. However, the best thing about Hotel Indy is the staff. Deveon and Shishi(sorry about butchering the spelling) were amazing at the rooftop bar. Deveon remember all of our drink orders each night we were there. Kyle at the front desk checked me in and was great. Kate at the front desk is wonderful a...

Perfect location. We walked to the Indianapolis Symphony. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was perfect. Ample parking next to hotel. We used the valet service which was very good. TV requires an upgrade. Otherwise, tip top perfect and we will return. Thank you.

The room had great character and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The food at FIRE was mouthwatering and definitely a highlight. The city views are beautiful, though the noise could be an issue for light sleepers. Only downside was the toilet paper—it felt surprisingly cheap compared to the rest of the experience.

I stayed at this Marriott property for one night on Friday. While the hotel itself was nice and clean, my overall experience has been extremely disappointing due to serious issues with billing and customer service. I was double charged for two different amounts — $221 and $245 — for a single-night stay. I went to the front desk the next morning to resolve it, and the staff assured me they would f...

I love my stay here! The staff were so professional and friendly. The only caveat is that restaurant applies a 20% gratuity on every check. I wish I would have know that ahead of time before using my corporate card! Otherwise you would enjoy the experience and facilities. Tell them Lashonda sent you ☺️

Awful experience. I was overcharged at check-in reported it within minutes. I was told it would be 3 to 5 business days before the refund went back even though it was their mistake. I had to wait for the money it’s been a week and I still have not received the refund for the mistake in charge only to wake up today to have another large chunk taken out of my bank account from hotel Indy when I pre...
