1. Overall Rating & Sentiment

The Anvil Hotel is well-regarded, often praised as a stylish and comfortable option, and noted by Forbes Vetted as a "best value" hotel in Jackson Hole. Guest satisfaction scores are generally positive, with ratings around 7.6 to 8.8 out of 10 for aspects like cleanliness, comfort, and staff, while its location often scores exceptionally high, at 9.6 or 9.7.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently praise the Anvil Hotel's prime location, which offers easy walking access to downtown Jackson's attractions. The design, executed by Studio Tack, is a significant draw, offering a contemporary take on the American West with a "retro unpretentiousness." Amenities like complimentary bicycle rentals, free Wi-Fi, and a cozy lobby fireplace are also frequently appreciated. The hotel is also pet-friendly, allowing dogs for an additional fee.

3. Room Quality

The rooms at Anvil Hotel are described as solid, comfortable, rustic, and clean. They feature custom metal beds, custom Woolrich blankets, raw brass fixtures, and rain showers, along with bath products from C.O. Bigelow. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, a minibar, and a refrigerator. Thoughtfully selected snacks and drinks are also provided. Beds come with premium bedding and Egyptian cotton sheets for enhanced comfort.

4. Dining Experience

The hotel features Glorietta Trattoria, an on-site Italian restaurant serving dinner with a menu of handmade pasta, woodfired pizza, and cocktails. Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort are also in close proximity. The area offers various outdoor activities, including skiing, horse riding, and cycling.

7. Value & Pricing

The Anvil Hotel is considered a good value option in Jackson, particularly as an alternative to the many more expensive luxury hotels in the area, although Jackson itself can be a pricey destination. Room rates for a 1-night stay for two adults can range from approximately $123 to $288, depending on the season, room type, and booking date. Guests should be aware of additional charges such as a destination fee and a resort fee during certain periods. Free parking is available, but space can be limited.

8. Common Complaints

A frequently mentioned point of criticism is the absence of an elevator, which guests should be aware of, especially if they have mobility concerns or heavy luggage. While free parking is offered, its availability is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, potentially leading to challenges in finding a spot, particularly during busy times.

This property may be relatively no frills, the for the affordable price point we had a great time! I love how close it is to a green space where we could potty our puppy (there was even a station with waste bags), and the staff in the lobby was always friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping also didn't cut any corners, and the free parking was a nice touch! We definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay her...

I cannot say enough good things about my recent stay at the Anvil Hotel. From the moment I arrived, I knew I had found something special. The highlights of my stay: • The Breakfast: Truly a standout! It was hands-down one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had at a hotel—delicious, fresh, and the perfect way to fuel up for a day in Jackson. • The Staff: Every single team member was incredibly ...

Loved staying here. Super cozy, and awesome location — can’t beat it. Very thoughtfully curated spaces. Loved the games available in the common area — played Yahtzee for hours with my brother and sister. An authenticate and genuine experience that doesn’t feel like a corporate hotel, pride of ownership shines. Cortney was exceptional in making our stay memorable and we were so grateful for her. A dressed-up motel done right. Awesome staff—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cool. The lobby is cozy and stylish, the kind of place you actually want to hang out rather than pass through. Rooms are totally functional: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. No frills, but everything works and feels intentional. A great base for Jackson with real personality.

If you’re after a stay that feels truly Jackson authentic - rustic, cozy, and effortlessly charming, the Anvil Hotel is it. Perfectly located with sweeping mountain views, the Anvil somehow manages to feel both quaint and grand at the same time. The contrast between its intimate, lodge-like vibe and the dramatic Tetons surrounding it is part of what makes it so special. From the moment you step ...

Great cozy hotel. Very small space but it’s all we needed. Love that it’s dog friendly & they offered a dog bed & bowl. My only suggestion is PLEASE make the lighting warmer. It’s blue LED & utterly takes away from coziness. It’s hard as a woman to get ready & feel decent in the mirror. So tired of this feature in hotels.
