The guest rooms and suites are described as "comfortable," "spacious," and "clean," designed for "relaxed luxury with a European touch." Guests can expect "opulent suites" featuring "Maine Cuddledown featherbeds" for a Scandinavian-inspired night's sleep. In-room luxuries include Molton Brown bath products, Italian Illy espresso, and flat-screen Smart TVs with streaming services. Many rooms offer water views, and some are equipped with fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, or balconies. Each room is air-conditioned for comfort.
4. Dining Experience
The inn's "world-class fine dining restaurant," Natalie's, is a significant highlight. It is widely considered the best fine dining destination in Maine and has been recognized as one of the 100 best restaurants in the USA. Natalie's showcases French-inspired cuisine with a focus on fresh New England ingredients, local produce, and seafood, offering options for various dietary needs including halal, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free.
A complimentary à la carte breakfast is a guest favorite, featuring local specialties, warm dishes, fresh pastries, and the popular Maine Lobster Eggs Benedict. The dining experience, whether for breakfast or dinner, is often described as "splurge-worthy" with impeccable service from "well-trained servers."
5. Service & Staff
The service at Camden Harbour Inn receives consistent five-star praise. Staff members are repeatedly commended for being "incredibly kind," "welcoming," "attentive to detail," and "accommodating." Guests frequently note feeling "treated like royalty" and appreciate the personalized approach that transforms their stay into a memorable experience. The professional and caring demeanor of the staff contributes significantly to the overall positive atmosphere.
6. Location & Accessibility
The inn's location in Camden, Maine, is a major draw. Situated "by the ocean," it offers breathtaking views of the rocky coast and sparkling harbor, surrounded by lush mountains. It's an easy walk to downtown Camden, Laite Memorial Beach (0.2 miles), Camden Harbor Park and Amphitheater (0.4 miles), and the Camden Opera House (0.4 miles).
Camden Harbour Inn serves as an ideal base for exploring Maine's midcoast region, with attractions like Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, oyster farms, and even Acadia National Park (approximately 90 minutes away) being accessible. Knox County Regional Airport is about an 11-mile or 25-minute drive from the inn. However, guests should note that the property does not have elevators, which may pose an accessibility challenge for some.
7. Value & Pricing
As a luxury property, Camden Harbour Inn commands premium pricing, with rooms averaging over $500 per night. Typical weeknight prices range around $423, while weekend nights average about $392, though rates can start from $295.0 for a 1-night stay for 2 adults as of late January 2026. Despite the higher cost, many guests feel the experience is well worth the investment, with some even remarking that they "should have paid them more." Dining at Natalie's is also considered "splurge-worthy."
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, a few minor criticisms have been noted. One guest experienced inconsistent shower water temperature and found a bathroom TV poorly placed. Another review mentioned "uneven and hazardous" outdoor stairways to the entrance. Additionally, the absence of elevators in the historic building could be a concern for guests with mobility issues. The separate Camden Harbour Villa, while luxurious, has steep steps, though staff promptly installed a baby gate upon request for a family with a young child.

Memorable and incredible experience. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were treated better than the Conrad or the Ritz. The room we stayed in was immaculate, and we kept discovering small details and surprises that made us smile. Typically when visiting a high end hotel, there seems to be an undercurrent of extra charges and money grabbing that was non-existent here. We felt free to...

Camden Harbour Inn is a very special place. My husband took me here for 3 nights to celebrate my 60th birthday and we had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the Cape Colony room which overlooked the picturesque harbor. Super comfortable king size bed, twice daily housekeeping with handwritten notes and chocolates and Molton Brown toiletries were a lovely touch. We had tea every afternoon in the candy ...

Mid-winter special let us enjoy a top notch Inn at good prices. Breakfast was excellent and we had a suite with our own fireplace, but the lounge fireplace and seating area was very cozy and welcoming. The advantage of mid winter is lack of crowds, excellent service and parking in town!

This was easily the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We have Amex Platinum And they were incredibly knowledgeable on the benefits that we had and we were incredibly fortunate and lucky to arrive and find out that we had been given a complimentary room upgrade to the Surinam Suite. We were genuinely blown away by this quality of this room. Aside from that, the service was high class and persona...
