The general consensus highlights it as a splendid escape, offering a blend of relaxation and adventure, perfect for coastal getaways.

2. Key Highlights

Guests frequently laud Whitehall for its captivating design, which embraces the history of the 1901 property while incorporating natural elements like weathered woods, grasscloth, aged metals, and rope, reflecting Camden's "where the mountains meet the sea" motto. The expansive sitting areas, rambling front porches with rocking chairs, and outdoor patios with fire pits are popular amenities for relaxation. Complimentary breakfast, free WiFi, and free parking are also highly appreciated.

3. Room Quality

The hotel features 36 guest rooms and suites, which vary in size and layout. Rooms are unified by a contemporary-classic visual style, focused color palettes, and luxurious touches, including premium linens. Guests can expect private bathrooms with tiled showers, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs (often 40-inch), mini-fridges, irons, and complimentary designer toiletries. Some suites also include a living room area with a sleeper sofa. Reviewers often praise the rooms for being cozy, clean, and comfortable, with particular mentions of the "very comfy" beds and nice linens.

Whitehall offers a highly-rated, complimentary "small plates" breakfast, featuring a thoughtfully curated selection of homemade sweet and savory bites, accompanied by coffee, tea, and fresh juice. We had such a lovely time here, wish we could have stayed longer, it was so quant. To start they were accommodating to our early check in request, room was immaculate, and the attention to detail during breakfast was noticable. They also have wine, beer, and more available for purchase till 7pm. Lots of seating areas inside and outside to unwind with games to play as well. Free parking. Close to t...

A perfect quintessential Maine inn. The service was wonderful. The breakfast was just right and loved their fresh scones. Staff were very helpful. The room was small, but very charming and full of character. Parking was free and right next to the inn. Landscaping was spectacular. Really enjoyed meeting people while hanging out by the fire pit and at breakfast. All in all such a great experience. ...

We loved staying in a nearly 200 year old hotel (some slanted floors, of course)! The decor is nicely quirky, a mix of marine themes and more modern touches. I wish I played enough piano to fully enjoy the Steinway downstairs. The breakfast was great and the side courtyard with a fire pit was welcoming.

While we only stopped through for one night and thought it was a lovely inn with clean rooms and friendly staff…we encountered an issue with moths being in our room throughout the night and one of them flew up my daughters nose then into her shirt while she was sleeping, which of course worked her up. All in all we killed 8-10 of them overnight and into the next morning and could not figure out wh...

The only reason we couldn’t give it 5 stars was the need for better light-blocking in the bedrooms. The sunlight surfaced in the 4am hour and by the 5am hour we had full sun peeking through our rooms. There are blinds in the rooms, however the attention to detail for fitting the windows properly is...
