Common Complaints
Common complaints are rare for Villa Lara, indicating a generally high level of guest satisfaction. One recurring criticism, though not widespread, is that the breakfast, while delicious, is offered for an extra charge which some guests found disappointing for the price, suggesting it wasn't at the same quality level as the lodging. Another point to note is that the property is closed during December, January, and February. Additionally, pets are generally not allowed, with the exception of small dogs under 15kg in non-communal areas, for an additional fee.

The hotel was in a great location. The staff were amazing and we really enjoyed the whole experience. The front desk staff went above and beyond to make us a reservation for dinner. Hotel bar was great for a night cap as well. We have not experienced this level of service from any other hotel that we have stayed before. Would definitely recommend!

The obvious choice of hotel if you are in Bayeux. 5 star all the way. The staff is amazing. It is within close drive to the WW II sites. Convenient to the main street with restaurants/etc. They have private parking if you drive. Highly recommend. We stayed at seven separate hotels in Europe this trip and this was by far the best.

An absolutely fabulous hotel - perfect location for touring the Bayeux/Caen area: quiet location, private parking, well appointed and extremely comfortable. Best of all are the staff - the service is amazing and the staff go out of their way to help. Special mentions for James, Julien and Muriel, although everyone we met could not have been friendlier. It isn't cheap, but then it is a 5 star hote...
