Guests consistently rave about several aspects of the hotel:

  • Location: Its placement on the edge of the Mtkvari River in one of Tbilisi's oldest neighborhoods is frequently highlighted as excellent, providing beautiful river views and easy walking access to major tourist attractions.

They feature eclectic designs with elegant coffered walls, Art Deco-inspired headboards, Moorish archways, and geometric patterns. All rooms come with central air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a kettle, and a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, towels, and bathrobes. Many rooms offer private balconies, and some even boast freestanding bathtubs, either outside or beside the bed. A particularly unique offering is a suite with a transparent tub and a glass floor elevated above the flowing river. River view rooms are highly sought after for their "amazing views."

The amenities, service, and prime location contribute to the perception of it being a worthwhile investment for a memorable stay in Tbilisi.

8. Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, a few minor recurring themes can be inferred rather than explicit complaints:

  • Room Size: While rooms are generally described as "decent size" and comfortable, some room categories, like the "Double or Twin Room with Street View" at 237 sq ft (22 m²), might be considered compact by some travelers, especially those accustomed to larger accommodations. However, this is subjective and often balanced by efficient layouts and appealing design.
  • Lack of dedicated on-site restaurant: While breakfast is highly praised and many dining options are nearby, the absence of a full-service, all-day restaurant within the hotel itself might be a minor point for guests preferring to dine entirely on-site.

Overall, the Sandali Metekhi Boutique Hotel stands out as a highly recommended Michelin Key Selected property, offering a luxurious and comfortable experience with exceptional service and an unbeatable location in Tbilisi.

Sandali Metekhi Boutique Hotel is a fantastic pick if you want boutique style with a real “Old Tbilisi” sense of place—without sacrificing comfort. Set right by the Mtkvari River in the historic Metekhi area, it feels both central and slightly removed from the busiest tourist streets, which makes coming back at night feel calm and easy. The design is the standout: warm, eclectic, and confident...

Everything was perfect! We stayed at Sandali Metekhi Hotel when we first arrived in Tbilisi and had an amazing experience. Since we came much earlier than our check in time, the staff kindly let us stay in room 501 for a few hours (for half price), and the view from there was absolutely breathtaking! When it was time for our check in, we moved to our glass room (103) and the balcony had a glass fl...

It was the best hotel that I stayed in Georgia. The staff was kind, the room was clean, the service was good, and the breakfast was tasty. The location was great, and we got a free upgrade of the room. We were also allowed to make a late checkout, so I recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful hotel ! Centrally located within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and attractions. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff had the rooms cleaned to perfection every day. The breakfast buffet while small was delicious and everything was fresh. I would definitely stay here again.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel, and we could check in early to our room. The room itself was clean with all amenities included. There was good WiFi and a smart-TV. Merel liked the warm colors that were used to decorate the room, very...

We stayed at this hotel for five nights during our last visit to Tbilisi and had a very positive experience. The room and bathroom were both in a good size. The bad was very comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options and everything was very tasty. I especially want to highlight the hotel’s great location. It’s conveniently close to many of the city’s most pop...
