Wonderful hotel! If you are seeking something more exquisite and classical rather than modern, this is definitely place to go! Restaurant Cheval Blanc exceeded our high expectations. The foie gras preparation was subtle, the lobster had been refined to a very fine level, and the Wagyu beef was simply like butter. The service was next level and highly professional. A truly outstanding address for special occasions!

First time in Basel and was blown away! We stopped in for a bite and I recommend it for anyone seeking a night to remember. This hotel/restaurant sits on the Rhine, is beautifully lit and opulent in all facets. It’s a feast for the eyes and palate.

We had dinner here. A very traditional restaurant. Our server knew the menu well and was able to recommend choices and wine. Try to book a table with a river view, but any table will be a good experience. Loved this place.

Gran Hotel Les Trois Rois – Extremely Disappointing Experience The rooms were shockingly dated for a hotel that claims to be 5‑star. Carpets everywhere — completely unhygienic and far from modern luxury. The TV was positioned so poorly that when you lie on the bed, you can’t see anything. Basic functionality was missing. Five stars? Absolutely not. The headboard was upholstered fabric, which mea...

We were staying in Hotel Marthof, very close to it. During our Old Town walking tour, our local guide brought us here with the permission of reception staff. This newly rebuilt hotel opened in 2006. It was a huge and luxurious hotel. It is located on the left banks of Rhine River with amazing view. Almost all important destinations of Old town are within walking distance.
