Hotel Indigo Tulsa DWTN: A Comprehensive Review of a Michelin Key Selected Property
Hotel Indigo Tulsa DWTN, a Michelin Key Selected property, offers a distinctive boutique experience in the heart of Tulsa's vibrant Blue Dome Arts District. Guests generally praise its stylish design, prime location, and comfortable accommodations, though some minor issues regarding noise and occasional service inconsistencies have been noted.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
The general consensus for Hotel Indigo Tulsa DWTN is largely positive, with guests frequently describing it as a "delightful" and "wonderful" hotel offering a "real boutique experience." It boasts exceptional customer ratings, including a 9.1 overall rating on Agoda.com, with perfect scores for staff performance and high marks for cleanliness and location. While the overall sentiment is highly favorable, some specific criticisms exist, particularly regarding noise levels due to its lively location.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently highlight several aspects of Hotel Indigo Tulsa DWTN:
- Location: The hotel's position on Santa Fe Square in the Blue Dome Arts District is a major draw, placing guests within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants, bars, breweries, and attractions like the Tulsa Performing Arts Center and Guthrie Green. Many appreciate the area's safety for evening strolls.
- Design & Ambiance: The hotel embraces a luxury-boutique aesthetic with high-design good looks. Guests appreciate the modern feel and decor of the property.
- Amenities: A significant highlight is the rooftop bar, Roof Sixty-Six, offering memorable views of downtown Tulsa, a wrap-around balcony, and a fire pit. The on-site restaurant and a 24-hour fitness center are also valued.
- Service: While there are some mixed reviews, many guests commend the staff for being very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and providing "top-notch" customer service.
3. Room Quality
The rooms at Hotel Indigo Tulsa DWTN are often described as spacious, well-appointed, and very clean and comfortable. They feature a surprisingly urban loft-style look with raw concrete ceilings, hardwood flooring, and modernist-inspired furniture. Rooms are allergy-friendly and include a personal safe, flat-screen TV, coffee/tea making facilities, and soundproof windows. Comfortable beds are frequently mentioned by guests. However, some older reviews have mentioned that bathrooms can be on the smaller side.
4. Dining Experience
The hotel features Prospect Local Bar and Kitchen, a full-service restaurant that serves American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with room service. Guest feedback indicates that the in-house restaurant is "quite good," with some praising the breakfast and the "SWEETEST" waitstaff. The food is often described as "fantastic" and "wonderful." Guests can enjoy a highly-rated American or à la carte breakfast during their stay. Beyond the main restaurant, the rooftop bar, Roof Sixty-Six, is a popular spot for drinks and city views.
5. Service & Staff
Feedback on service and staff is largely positive, with many guests praising the friendly, welcoming, and helpful nature of the team. Front desk attendants, restaurant staff, and valets are often singled out for their excellent service. The staff performance has received a perfect rating of 10.0 from guests, who note the dedicated and friendly team goes above and beyond. However, there are isolated instances of poor customer service reported, including rude and unhelpful front desk and morning restaurant staff, and a "clueless" valet.
6. Location & Accessibility
Hotel Indigo Tulsa DWTN is exceptionally well-located in the Blue Dome Arts District, on Santa Fe Square. This central position offers immediate access to a wide array of restaurants, bars, and breweries. It is also a short walk from the Arts District, the historic commercial center, the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, and the Guthrie Green. The area is considered very safe for walking at night. The hotel is approximately 6.8 miles from Tulsa International Airport and provides a free airport shuttle service. It also offers convenient access to major freeways.
7. Value & Pricing
While Hotel Indigo Tulsa DWTN offers a luxurious and memorable experience, its pricing is generally above the city average. The average room price is around $204-$224 per night, compared to the average of $129 for a hotel room in Tulsa. Despite this, many guests feel it offers "unbeatable value" and a "fantastic value for money" for the quality of the boutique experience, exceptional service, and prime location it provides.
8. Common Complaints
The most recurring complaint among guests relates to noise. Due to its location in a lively entertainment district, music from neighboring bars and restaurants can be loud, sometimes extending late into the night. While the hotel states its concrete construction typically minimizes room-to-room noise, external noise can still be an issue for some. Other, less frequent complaints include:
- Limited bathroom amenities.
- One instance of a dirty couch in a room.
- Isolated negative experiences with specific staff members, particularly regarding valet service or a perceived lack of helpfulness from some front desk or restaurant staff.
- Some older reviews mention small bathrooms.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The best hotel in Tulsa and one of my favorite hotels from my travels. The attention to detail and customer service are one of a kind. Everyone has a warm greeting for guests. Ashlee at the front desk is a true gem. She exudes a type of professionalism and hospitality that is rare these days. She is kind, engaging, and friendly. She went above and beyond to make...

Location was great for visiting the Bob Dylan Center, which was an easy walk. The hotel lobby was clean and I appreciated the vat of ice water that was always available. The gym was well equipped with good treadmills. My only issue was the cleanliness of the room. The same crumbs stayed on the floor, the trash wasn’t emptied, the bathrobe was stained, the coffee pods contained no regular coffee. E...

Three nights here revealed a great hotel. Valet was snappy and handy. Every employee was pleasant and professional. Special shout-out to Kenson -- there could be no better representative of any hotel than him. Room was just fine. Breakfast all three mornings was great. Location couldn't be beat -- walkable to Greenwood, Gutherie, and Dylan. Tons of restaurants close.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Kenson is a great asset to our team, so glad he made an impression on you!

write this from a place of profound exhaustion, having spent the night not so much sleeping as attempting to negotiate with the sonic apocalypse erupting across the street. The hotel itself is perfectly serviceable—clean room, polite staff, a bed that might have been comfortable under other circumstances—but none of these details matter when the universe has conspired to blast music at a volume th...

Rooms, bedding linens bathroom very nice HOWEVER. The television choices are nill. Not even a smart TV. Only bare minimum choices. Remote controls would not work. They need to offer coffee in the morning. They have a very poorly run small restaurant where you can BUY a coffee if you can get anyone to wait on you In the mornings. Not user friendly Valet parking over the top expensive

The best option for a Tulsa stay. Centrally located for a fun weekend! The sixth floor bar is perfect for a relaxing drink or a good time with friends. The Prospect restaurant serves a great breakfast. You are walking distance to everything fun! Will for sure be back
