Elysée Montmartre, Paris: A Harmonious Blend of Parisian Charm and Modern Comfort
Elysée Montmartre, a Michelin Key Selected property in the vibrant Montmartre district of Paris, consistently earns high praise from guests for its unique design, exceptional service, and prime location. This boutique hotel offers a tranquil and intimate escape while being nestled amidst the artistic energy of one of Paris's most iconic neighborhoods.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
The general consensus for Elysée Montmartre is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing their stays as "incredible" and "totally recommended." The hotel scores highly across key categories, with particular acclaim for cleanliness, staff, and location. Many express a strong desire to return, highlighting a deeply satisfying guest experience.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently rave about several standout features. The hotel's excellent soundproofing ensures a peaceful night's sleep despite its lively surroundings. Its beautiful interior design, which skillfully transforms an old building into a modern and comfortable space, is frequently mentioned as a highlight. The staff's exceptional friendliness and hospitality are also a recurring theme. Families appreciate the kid-friendly amenities, including a home cinema and a playroom. The hotel also prides itself on its eco-conscious design, featuring bespoke furniture made from sustainable eucalyptus wood and preserved original architectural elements. A unique perk is the privileged access guests receive to concerts at the neighboring, legendary Élysée-Montmartre venue.
3. Room Quality
Rooms at Elysée Montmartre are described as modern, clean, and beautifully designed. Guests frequently comment on the comfort of the beds, often likening them to "sleeping in clouds." All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, soundproofing, private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries (some eco-friendly), a work desk, mini-bar, flat-screen TV (some with Netflix), and free WiFi. The design incorporates natural materials, with unique custom-made eucalyptus wood furniture and bathrooms featuring pink stone basins. Duplex rooms are particularly spacious and ideal for families. While most find the rooms comfortable, some guests have noted that standard rooms can be "a bit small."
4. Dining Experience
The hotel offers a delightful continental breakfast, featuring fresh baguettes, delicious pastries, cheese, ham, eggs, and yogurt. The bright breakfast area, with its large windows, provides a relaxing start to the day. Additionally, a coffee lounge serves carefully curated specialty coffees from independent roasters. While the hotel provides a bar with drinks and light snacks, it does not have a full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner.
5. Service & Staff
The service and staff at Elysée Montmartre consistently receive glowing reviews. Guests laud the team as "extremely friendly," "fantastic," and incredibly helpful. Many appreciate the staff's attentiveness, with specific mentions of individuals going above and beyond to make special occasions memorable. 6. Location & Accessibility
The hotel boasts a "superb" and "excellent" location in the heart of Montmartre, an area known for its charming and bohemian spirit. Accessibility is a major advantage, with a metro station (Anvers Station) almost directly across the street and Pigalle Station just a five-minute walk away. Popular attractions like the Sacré-Coeur Basilica and the Moulin Rouge are within a short walking distance. The neighborhood itself is vibrant, offering a plethora of dining options and cultural sights. However, it's worth noting that Montmartre is known for its hills and stairs, which could be a consideration for some travelers.
7. Value & Pricing
Guests generally consider Elysée Montmartre to be "reasonably priced" and offer good "value for money." While specific average prices vary, rates have been observed starting from approximately $184 per night. The combination of its prime location, high-quality amenities, and excellent service contributes to its perceived value.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, some minor criticisms have been noted. A few guests have found the standard rooms to be "a bit small" and the beds potentially undersized for two people. Additionally, one guest reported an instance where coffee was not available as early as 5 AM, contrary to their understanding. The hilly terrain of Montmartre, while contributing to its charm, could also be considered a minor inconvenience for some.

Great venue in the heart of Paris. The sound was fantastic and easy to get close to the stage. For a music venue the toilets were exceptional. The only negative was the single beer choice of Carlsberg at €9 a pint.

Great venue, saw Baby Keem here a couple years ago and it was awesome except everyone was certain Kendrick Lamar would come out when his cousin played about 10 different times a song they perform together. Kendrick was in town for Fashion Week and never pulled up. Kinda sad. But still a great show.

Élysée Montmartre – A Gem of Sound and History I had the great pleasure of attending the EISBRECHER concert at the Élysée Montmartre on April 9th, 2025 – and I was truly impressed. The acoustics in this historic Paris venue are absolutely outstanding: clear, powerful, and warm at the same time – a perfect setting to experience the full force and subtlety of EISBRECHER’s performance. is a music venue located at 72 Boulevard de Rochechouart, Paris, France. It opened in 1807, burned down in 2011, reopened in 2016, and has a capacity of 1,380 patrons. I liked to walk on Montmartre there are a lot of interesting historical places and cultural atmosphere.
