1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
Circa Resort & Casino generally receives highly positive feedback from guests, with ratings often ranging from 4.3 to 4.7 out of 5 stars. The overall sentiment is that it's a new, clean, and comfortable hotel with an excellent vibe, particularly appealing to those seeking an adults-only experience. Many guests consider it the best place to stay in downtown Las Vegas.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently praise Circa's unique attractions and design. Key highlights include:
- Stadium Swim: A multi-tiered pool amphitheater with a massive 143-foot HD screen showcasing sporting events, which is a major draw and offers free access to hotel guests.
- Legacy Club: A rooftop club offering impressive views.
- Sportsbook: Described as spectacular and a top destination for sports enthusiasts.
- Design & Vibe: The hotel successfully blends a dark, classic, sexy, and retro ambiance without feeling old or corny, reflecting "old Vegas" while offering modern technology.
- Adults-Only Policy: As an adults-only resort, it caters specifically to guests aged 21 and over, which many appreciate for a more mature atmosphere.
3. Room Quality
Rooms at Circa are generally well-regarded for their comfort and modern design.
- Spacious & Modern: Guest rooms, including the single king and studio suites, are described as spacious (some around 439 to 900 sq ft), modern, and beautiful.
- Comfort: Beds are often highlighted as extremely comfortable, featuring Serta Prestige mattresses. Rooms also offer good air conditioning and effective blackout curtains.
- Bathrooms: Bathrooms are typically large, clean, and feature double vanities and walk-in showers with good water pressure.
- Views: Many rooms offer amazing views of the Fremont Experience, downtown, and the surrounding Las Vegas Valley.
- Technology: Rooms include modern conveniences like 55-inch TVs, power outlet hubs by the bed, and control panels for adjusting lights. A smart elevator system ensures quick access to floors.
- Minor Criticisms: Some guests have noted a lack of sufficient bedside outlets and occasional stains on pillows and sheets. Older towels have also been mentioned. Noise from hallways can sometimes filter into rooms.
4. Dining Experience
Circa offers a variety of dining options, generally receiving positive remarks for quality and selection.
- Variety: The resort features a range of restaurants including Barry's Downtown Prime (steakhouse), 8 East (Pan-Asian), Saginaw's Delicatessen, Victory Burger, and Project BBQ, as well as Jackpot Coffee.
- Restaurant Quality: Barry's Downtown Prime and 8 East are particularly well-received, with praise for delicious food and good service. 8 East is noted for its cutting-edge Pan-Asian cuisine and shareable small plates.
- Coffee: Jackpot Coffee serves good, strong coffee, though some find it pricey.
- Complaints: Some guests have found the overall food quality to be "not exceptional, just food" in general, and casino bar service can be slow. Food prices are comparable to those on the Strip.
5. Service & Staff
Guest feedback on service is generally positive, but with some notable areas for improvement.
- Friendly Staff: Check-in staff and most other team members are often described as friendly and nice.
- Areas for Improvement: Security guards at entry points are sometimes perceived as unfriendly and overly strict with ID checks, which can be an inconvenience. One guest reported an unacceptable incident of being publicly called a liar by a supervisor. Employee reviews also suggest issues with "toxic management" and a lack of pay increases.
6. Location & Accessibility
Circa's downtown location is a significant aspect of its appeal.
- Fremont Street Experience: The hotel is perfectly located on the Fremont Street Experience, offering immediate access to its lively atmosphere, music, and attractions.
- Downtown Advantages: Being downtown, guests can enjoy lower table minimums and potentially better odds at casinos compared to the Strip.
- Accessibility: Parking is available at "Garage Mahal" across the street, connected by a short bridge for easy access to check-in.
- Distance from Strip: While downtown offers its own unique experience, it is further from the Las Vegas Strip and Harry Reid International Airport compared to Strip hotels.
7. Value & Pricing
Circa is generally considered a good value, particularly for a newer, luxury adults-only resort.
- Price Range: Room rates can vary, with examples ranging from approximately $129 to $286 per night for standard rooms or studio suites, not including fees.
- Resort Fees: A resort fee (around $29.95 to $56.50 per night) and parking fees are additional costs.
- Value Perks: The complimentary access to Stadium Swim for hotel guests is a major value-add, as non-hotel guests often pay a fee. The overall experience of a new, clean, and amenity-rich property is often seen as worth the cost, especially for a downtown location.
8. Common Complaints
While generally positive, several recurring criticisms include:
- Unfriendly Security/ID Checks: The strict and sometimes unwelcoming manner of security guards when checking IDs at entry is a common complaint.
- Slow Wi-Fi & Lack of Outlets: In-room Wi-Fi can be slow and limited, and some rooms lack an adequate number of easily accessible bedside outlets.
- Delayed Check-in: Some guests have reported delayed check-in times.
- Noise: While windows are soundproofed against highway noise, hallway noise can be noticeable, and the lively atmosphere of Stadium Swim can be loud in some rooms until late in the evening.
- Casino Smoke Smell: Like many casinos, smoking is permitted, and despite air filtration, a lingering smoke smell can be present, especially in the casino area.
- Dining/Bar Service: General food quality at some venues may not be "exceptional," and casino bar service can be slow.
- No Microwave/Hard Beds: Some guests have noted the absence of microwaves in rooms and that beds can be a bit harder than preferred.

Our stay at Circa Resort & Casino was an absolute delight! The location is perfect, and our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The bathroom water pressure was fantastic — such a small detail, but it made a big difference. The highlight of our trip was definitely Stadium Swim. Even though the weather was a bit chilly, the water was perfectly warm and the atmosphere was upb...

I love that this hotel is age 21 and up only! The staff verifies your ID at every entry/exit. The staff is very nice and attentive. You can exit the hotel right onto Freemont Street. They have a lovely pool area called Stadium Swim where you can enjoy sports on the big screen while you swim. We ate at several of the restaurants while staying here. Saginaws has a delicious club sandwich. Victory B...

Circa Resort & Casino was very clean, and I loved that the rooms are completely smoke-free. The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. The only downside was that the music was a little too loud at times. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely stay again.

I stayed at Circa for the first time over Christmas this year. It far exceeded my expectations. This hotel is redefining the Old Downtown. We went to the Strip one time during our 3 day stay and could not wait to get back to the Circa. First off, the rooms were large and very well maintained. If you want a little more quiet, I recommend staying on the side opposite the Stadium Swim. Otherwise...

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at Circa. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by Luis at the front desk, who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He set the tone for our entire trip with how welcoming he was and even placed us in a beautiful room. The hotel itself is stunning. The lobby bar you walk into is gorgeous, and our room was spacious with an amazing view ...

Pit stop for a few Jack & Cokes. Enjoyed Freemont and went into Circa as it appeared to be the most secure looking venue on Freemont. Happy to provide ID on the way in, provided reassurance to me and my guest who are from the UK. Great sports screen!!! Bar was relaxed vibes and not too expensive, staff were attentive all round. Great to meet Vegas Vickie 🥳🥳
