We stayed at The Vendue 2/11 - 2/15/2026, and it was a lovely experience. The hotel is decorated throughout with many eye-catching modern art pieces. If modern art is not your thing, don't let this stop you from booking a stay! We stayed in Room 309, which was clean, comfortable, and spacious (we are used to European-sized hotel rooms, so it seemed quite large for the two of us). But the thing...

Pros: this comfortable boutique hotel is close to everything you want in historic Charleston. We were in the Enclave part of the hotel. Check in offers a sweet treat and glass of prosecco on arrival. The room was a good size, bed very nice and comfy, good linens and pillows, large bathroom, working gas fireplace. Unlimited bottled water at no charge, a simple snack/breakfast every morning, keurig ...

The Vendue is one of those rare places that feels intentional the moment you step inside. I have never stayed overnight, but I have spent time walking through the lobby and common areas simply to admire the décor and artwork. The contrast of bold red furniture against pristine white walls, paired with vibrant, thoughtfully curated paintings, creates a space that feels both energetic and refined. ...

I would definitely stay here again. Loved that they do daily art receptions and gallery tours — the original art is for sale. Fred Jamar has his studio here … though unfortunately we didn’t get to see him paint. Every employee I spoke with was friendly and helpful. The fish tacos and gin martini at the rooftop bar were excellent. They hang a bag of mini croissants and muffins on your doorknob eve...
