My boyfriend and I were walked over from a different Marriott property nearby when that hotel’s system went down. After a frustrating lack of customer service at the other property (which I believe is managed by a 3rd party), we drove over to the Surety. We were immediately comforted by the stellar staff and their excellent customer service at the Surety. Ross and Tellah at the front desk checked ...

Stayed here during a long weekend trip to Des Moines. We had a corner room that faced the courthouse and had a beautiful view every morning. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There were times during the trip that we didn't want to leave the room and elected to relax over the afternoon. The restaurant had incredible food and the peanut butter pie for desert was the perfect way to ...

We’ve been to this hotel on two occasions. One to stay for a wedding celebration nearby and one to come back a few years later for the brides funeral services. While both times we visited showed two different slew of emotions, the consistent variable was the stay at the Surety. This hotel is beyond accommodating and gives a very cool vibe of old and new and is beyond successful at it. There wer...

Jonathan B. provided absolutely outstanding customer service. I needed some last-minute adjustments, and he didn’t hesitate—he handled everything quickly and without making it feel like an inconvenience. He was extremely accommodating, professional, and made sure everything was exactly how I needed it. It’s rare to find someone that willing to go the extra mile. Highly appreciated and would gladly...

Love the Surety Hotel so much! We have been staying consistently for a few years now to watch our son play football in Des Moines. The hotel has so much culture and charm. But what we love best is the friend we have made at the front desk-Brooklyn Desart. She is always anticipating our needs and taken the best care of us from the start! We can’t wait to come back!
Response from the owner
