We stayed at The Richland while touring Chapman University and we loved it! We rented the "cottage," which is a standalone house on the property with 2BR/2BA, which was perfect for me and my teenager. The location is great with easy walking access to Old Towne Orange and Chapman, and the staff was very nice to us. There's a Philz Coffee just around the corner, so I was very happy. As some others h...

This is the second December in a row that we’ve celebrated our company service awards at The Richland, and it has been a fantastic experience both times. The ballroom is gorgeous, but the food really stole the show. As someone who looks for gluten-free options, I was so impressed by the menu; the GF dishes were thoughtful and flavorful rather than an afterthought. It’s clear they prioritize the gu...

We rented the Attic Suite which was beautifully decorated. The hotel is well maintained and there are a lot of special touches that elevate your stay. I was so happy that we chose to stay at The Richland and lo...

From the moment we walked into The Richland we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. The atmosphere was so homey, yet so professional and put together! The staff (Sarah, Bree, and Anna) were incredible throughout all of planning. On the day of the wedding, it was so comforting to know that everything we needed -- and so many of our loved ones -- were right there on property. Cady (?) who...

You don't want to stay here! Most people are unaware that this used to be a mortuary. So bizarre to see people having their weddings in the room where we had my father's wake. Makes me wonder if they made bedrooms out of the rooms where they were previously preparing or storing bodies(ugh) or if anyone has had any spiritual/ paranormal experiences.
