Booked for a birthday afternoon tea on a Saturday. The setting is absolutely stunning. The tea was delicious, probably one of the best I've ever had. Quirky, different and amazing portions. Those fresh scones 👌🏻😍 The service was good, but a tad lacking at the end. We had to get up to find someone to get takeaway boxes and pay the bill. I highly recommend the tea!

Right in the middle of Malmesbury. The oldest hotel. Totally refurbished and Quirky. Lots of lounges and space with real log fires, cosy. Proper English breakfast all served hot and fresh. Quality eggs and produce. Lovely team of staff especially the delightful breakfast waitress. We had room 16 for 2 nights and were upgraded as it was my Wife's birthday. Free car parking round the back.

We had read that The Old Bell is haunted so popped in for a drink at the bar. Alas, no one we asked had seen a ghost. We stayed for about an hour to play a game. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. We didn't stay for dinnwr but people around us ordered and it everything looked good. We ordered some cake to take away which was delicious.

We had a fabulous weekend at the Old Bell. Service is attentive but informal and we were extremely well looked after - even when the staff were rushed off their feet. Food was high quality. It's a simple menu but executed well. We took our dog and everyone was lovely to him. Malmesbury is a great place for a mini break with plenty of opportunity for walkies. Highly recommend
