Excellent time staying with my partner for Birthday & Anniversary celebrations. We were made to feel very welcome before and during our stay - with added special touches for the reason for our stay. A special mention to Camille & Valentyna on reception. Our Abbey King room was great, with amazing views and a very luxurious bathroom. We had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, the men...

Visited The Bird in Bath recently and had a really lovely experience. The setting is beautiful, with views over the city and a stylish but relaxed interior. It feels special without being overly formal, which makes it great for both occasions and a more laid-back meal. The menu is modern British with seasonal influences, and everything we had was well presented and full of flavour. Portions were...

We are only one night in to our two night stay and I cannot say enough good things about this lovely and charming hotel and staff. We were given such a warm welcome and our heavy and cumbersome bags whisked away to our beautiful room. Booked a room for friends to stay here over the weekend. Gorgeous views from the rooms at the back overlooking the Rec towards the Abbey. Breakfast was fabulous. My foreign friends felt very looked after by the staff. Particularly Elizabeth at reception was lovely.

We stayed here during the Jane Austen Festival, which meant the prices were incredibly high – around £300 per night for two people. For that cost, we expected something a bit more special, but the room we were given was very small and lacked comfort. Traffic noise was noticeable throughout the night, and parking was both first come, first served and an expensive extra. Breakfast was included, and...

Friendly welcoming staff. Unusual and interesting decor and lights. Excellent food in the "Plate" restaurant. This is our second visit and unlikely to be our last. The city centre is about a 10minute stroll away, less if you're a fast walker. Comfy bed and clean bathroom, what more do you need for a city break.
