The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills, a Michelin Key Selected property, consistently earns high praise for its luxurious ambiance, expansive suites, and exceptional service, positioning itself as a tranquil and sophisticated retreat amidst the vibrancy of Los Angeles.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
The general consensus for The London West Hollywood is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing it as a revelation in a city that often combines style with pretense. It is celebrated for offering "effortless, spacious, genuinely relaxed luxury." Review scores across various platforms often range from "Very Good" to "Exceptional," with high marks for cleanliness, comfort, staff, and location.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently laud several aspects of The London West Hollywood:
- Service: Impeccable, professional, and genuinely hospitable staff who anticipate needs without being intrusive.
- Location: A quiet yet prime location just off the bustling Sunset Strip, offering easy access to entertainment, dining, and shopping.
- Design & Ambiance: Elegant interiors, a blend of British sophistication and California cool, created by David Collins Studio. The hotel exudes "understated Hollywood glamour."
- Amenities: The magnificent rooftop pool with panoramic views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills is a major draw, often described as a "private club" experience. Other highlights include a complimentary breakfast, a free town car service within a two-mile radius, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
3. Room Quality
The hotel is an all-suite property, with no room smaller than a generous 725 square feet, making them some of the largest in Los Angeles. These open-plan suites are beautifully appointed and designed for comfort, featuring:
- Spacious Layouts: Bleached oak floors, oversized tufted headboards, and a separate sitting area with a personal wet bar.
- Comfort: Sumptuous king beds and a quiet atmosphere contribute to a relaxing stay.
- Bathrooms: Enormous, spa-worthy marble and white-tile bathrooms by Waterworks, many including sunken tubs and double-headed showers.
- Balconies: All suites come with private balconies or terraces, offering views of the city or Hollywood Hills.
- Thoughtful Details: Rooms often include a lint roller and an audiovisual cord to connect computers to the TV.
4. Dining Experience
The London West Hollywood offers a diverse dining experience, primarily centered around its Boxwood restaurant and The Rooftop.
- Boxwood Restaurant: Serves nouveau American cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant space itself is noted for its beautiful design.
- Complimentary Breakfast: Guests consistently praise the complimentary breakfast, which includes a buffet of pastries, bagels & lox, cheeses, charcuterie, yogurt parfaits, fresh juices, coffee, and cereals. An à la carte menu is also available, though additional items incur extra costs.
- The Rooftop: Offers outdoor dining with a seasonal menu for lunch, dinner, and brunch, providing sweeping city views.
- Afternoon Tea: A traditional English Afternoon Tea service is available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
- In-Room Dining: Available 24 hours a day.
While the complimentary breakfast is highly regarded, some past feedback indicated that the Boxwood dining service could be "lackluster" and that British-inspired menu choices seemed like an "after-thought."

Attended a wedding at The London West Hollywood and it was such a great experience. The hotel is beautiful and feels luxe without being over-the-top. The event spaces were stunning and thoughtfully laid out, and everything flowed smoothly from start to finish. The rooftop vibes were incredible, the service was attentive, and the overall atmosphere made the celebration feel extra special. As a gues...

We had a great stay at The London West Hollywood. This is probably our 15th stay over the past 6 years. The staff truly stood out, friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Service across the board was excellent and made us feel well taken care of. The only small downside is that the rooms could use an update, as some areas feel a bit dated. That said, the comfort, se...

The rooms are nice but certainly not spectacular given the price level. The staff is very helpful. However, the billing is very sketchy. They charge $300 a night as a fee for “incidentals” which is eventually refunded if you don’t use it. They also charge a $30 a night amenity fee and $75 a night for parking. We’ve waited two weeks now for our credit and haven’t received it yet. Today my wife was ...

We spent three nights at this hotel. I had read the reviews and they said it was very good. The truth is, it was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. The hotel is dirty, the rooms all have loose threads everywhere, and everything looks unpainted and worn. The rooms are completely lacking maintenance — broken mirrors in several rooms, dirty pipes and fixtures. This cannot be called a five-...

I just stayed here for the third time. Listen, it’s pricey, but I love this hotel. Located right in the heart of WeHo, it’s just a great location and the amenities onsite are great. The food is delicious, the pool is delightful, and it’s quiet and well managed. You won’t regret it :)

Ive been to many great hotels but this one is one of the better ones. They are high end but also unassuming at the same time/ not over the top. Spacious rooms, beautiful restaurant, views, and super dog friendly. I highly recommend if you are looking for a hotel in WeHo for under $500/night, not many hotel will beat this one. SLS is nice too but The London has more welcoming and hospitable staff.
