Expert Review: The Palazzo at The Venetian
The Palazzo at The Venetian, a Michelin Key Selected property, stands as a prominent luxury all-suite hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, widely acclaimed for its opulent atmosphere, spacious accommodations, and extensive amenities.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
The general consensus for The Palazzo is overwhelmingly positive, often described as luxurious, clean, and comfortable, earning ratings typically in the "Excellent" or "Wonderful" range (e.g., 8.9 out of 10 on Booking.com). Guests appreciate its high-end resort experience and consider it a top choice for a luxurious stay in Las Vegas.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently praise The Palazzo for its expansive, all-suite accommodations, setting it apart with some of the largest standard rooms on the Strip. Its prime central location provides easy access to attractions, including being conveniently connected to the Grand Canal Shoppes and the Sphere. The resort's design is noted for its grand displays and Mediterranean architecture, contributing to a sense of Italian glamour. Amenities are a significant draw, including a full-service spa (Canyon Ranch Spa + Fitness), multiple outdoor pools, a fitness center, and a wide array of dining options.
3. Room Quality
All accommodations at The Palazzo are suites, starting at a spacious 720 square feet. These suites typically feature a separate living area with a sofa, a dining table, and a dedicated workspace. Bedrooms offer comfortable king or queen beds, often with pillowtop mattresses. The luxurious marble bathrooms are a highlight, equipped with double sinks, a separate soaking tub (large enough for a 6-foot person), a glass-enclosed shower, and sometimes even a 19-inch flat-screen TV. Many rooms boast impressive views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Sphere, or the resort's pools. While generally clean and well-maintained, some guests have noted that the decor can feel "a bit old style and depressed" or "dated," and some wish for more modern touches like in-room coffee/tea facilities or a mini-bar that isn't automatically charged for moved items.
4. Dining Experience
The Palazzo, as part of The Venetian Resort, offers an exceptional and diverse dining landscape with over 40 restaurants and bars. Guests can explore a wide range of cuisines, including East Asian, European, and Mediterranean flavors from world-renowned chefs. Highlights include Mott 32 for high-end Chinese dining, voted "Best Strip Restaurant of the Year," and Wolfgang Puck's CUT steakhouse. Other popular options include Miznon for Mediterranean street food, and the Grand Lux Cafe, which serves an eclectic menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The resort also features the new Via Via Food Hall, offering a collection of concepts from New York and Los Angeles.
5. Service & Staff
The staff at The Palazzo consistently receives high praise for their hospitality, often described as friendly, helpful, and wonderful. Guests frequently highlight the efficiency of the check-in process and the attention to detail from the housekeeping team, who ensure crisp linens and spotless bathrooms.
6. Location & Accessibility
The Palazzo boasts an excellent and central location directly on the Las Vegas Strip. Its proximity allows for easy walking access to numerous attractions, and it's particularly convenient for events at The Sphere, with a direct hallway connection. The resort offers both valet and self-parking, with the underground self-parking at The Palazzo often preferred over The Venetian's for its ease and quicker access to rooms. While the hotel does not offer a complimentary airport shuttle, guests have various transportation options from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), including taxis, rideshares, and public buses, with a bus trip costing around $6 and taking approximately 30-38 minutes. Private sedan services are also available for a more direct and seamless transfer.
7. Value & Pricing
As a five-star luxury property, pricing at The Palazzo can vary significantly based on dates, room type, and availability. Average nightly rates have been noted around $482, though deals can sometimes be found starting from a lower price point. A consistent point of contention for many guests is the mandatory resort fee, which is an additional cost charged per room per night. Despite this, many guests feel the spacious all-suite accommodations and extensive amenities offer good value, especially when compared to smaller rooms at other Strip hotels.
8. Common Complaints
Several recurring issues are mentioned by guests. The most frequent complaint centers around the mandatory resort fee, which is seen as an unwelcome additional charge. Many guests also express disappointment over the lack of complimentary in-room amenities such as coffee/tea making facilities and bottled water. The in-room mini-bars are often noted for their "if you move it, you pay" policy, and guests desire a separate mini-fridge for personal use. While rooms are generally well-maintained, some reviews suggest the decor could benefit from an update. Other minor criticisms include firm pillows and the quality of complimentary bath products. Occasionally, during very busy periods, some guests have reported issues with room servicing.

Great experience. Beautiful suite with a view of the Strip and the mountains. Very clean, no stains on rugs, no dust in rooms. Loved the Grand Luxe for breakfasts and Matteos for dinner. Wonderful service by the Concierge desk and at front desk check in. The bars were very crowded, though, not easy to get a seat. Easy access to the Venetian and the Canal Shops. Overall, very pleasant and enjoyabl...

Stayed here for the backstreet boys concert. Great location. Awesome rooms. Sphere view is an upgrade that costs more money. If you have the money do the prestige upgrade for a continental breakfast and happy hour every day. Its definitely worth it. The backstreet boys terminal is here with photo ops and merchandise. Go early as lines are long. Also go to black tap for their crazy milkshakes!

I arrived.for the February 11 Backstreet Boys concert at the sphere as a vip. I arrived to the Palazzo and was greeted by Dwayne at the front desk. He was so kind and enthusiastic for me because of the concert. He recommended a few restaurants for me to try out like Wakuda and it was the most amazing sushi I have ever had. Dwayne also wanted me to have a nice view and was able to get me one! I...
