The hotel provides a complimentary daily continental breakfast. While guests praise the quality of items like savory grits and muffins, the selection is often noted as limited and repetitive, which can become an issue for longer stays. Coffee can also be on the weaker side. The hotel features a bar and lounge area that serves light Low Country bites alongside cocktails, beers, and wines in a convivial setting. However, The Palmetto Hotel does not have a full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner. Guests benefit greatly from its central location, surrounded by numerous highly-rated restaurants and cafes.

Great downtown location, lovely decor, friendly staff and comfy rooms - the lobby bartender and valet made great recommendations for restaurants while I enjoyed a nightcap. Morning continental breakfast was delightful - scones and grits were a lovely local touch from nearby restaurant- and the lobby music really added to the relaxed vibe. I appreciated the little details, like comfy robes, Nespres...

We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. Check in was smooth and Justin kindly fulfilled my request and gave me great local info. The location is near great restaurants. My room was nice, comfortable, and clean with a spa shower. The bed was firm but not overly so, and we slept well. The continental breakfast was surprisingly good with incredibly delicious pastries from a local bakery, boil...

We had our wedding at The Palmetto Hotel in Charleston and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We worked with Shannon, who was incredibly accommodating, organized, and easy to work with throughout the process. The hotel is beautiful, and the penthouse was absolutely stunning for our small wedding. Everything went smoothly with no issues at all. Highly recommend!
Response from the owner
We are honored you chose to celebrate such a special occasion with us - thank you so much! And thank you as well for the kind words about Shannon - she is the best!

Clean rooms, great drinks at the bar, stylish lobby, super central location. Complimentary breakfast was pretty sparse (biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, tiny yogurt parfaits, muffins and scones) compared to what I’ve seen at other hotels, though. We had a room facing the alley and it was pretty loud when we slept with the windows open - totally fine when closed.
