ROOST Midtown, Philadelphia, stands out as a highly-rated, boutique-style apartment hotel offering a luxurious and comfortable extended-stay experience in the heart of the city. Housed within two floors of the historic 1920s Packard Building, it has garnered significant praise for its blend of residential comforts and upscale hotel amenities.

It consistently receives high ratings across various platforms, particularly for its cleanliness, location, staff, and overall comfort. Key Highlights
Guests consistently love several aspects of ROOST Midtown:

Room Quality
The rooms at ROOST Midtown are a standout feature, designed to offer genuine residential comfort with a touch of luxury. They are described as spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, featuring vaulted ceilings, herringbone hardwood flooring, and oversized windows. Each unit is individually furnished and decorated with Turkmen rugs, custom artwork, and living plants, creating an elegant and inviting atmosphere. Guests praise the comfortable beds, quality Sferra linens, and Davines toiletries in the private bathrooms. The inclusion of a full-size kitchen with modern appliances (refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, oven, dishwasher), a separate living area, and a washer and dryer in each unit provides unparalleled convenience, especially for longer stays.
Dining Experience
ROOST Midtown does not feature an on-site restaurant for breakfast or other meals. Instead, the focus is on providing guests with the autonomy to create their own dining experiences. Each apartment is equipped with a full, proper kitchen, allowing guests to cook for themselves. Guests appreciate the provided La Colombe coffee in their rooms. The excellent central location means that a plethora of restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores are within easy walking distance, including the Reading Terminal Market just 2625 feet away, offering diverse culinary options. Guests can also arrange for grocery deliveries.

The comprehensive amenities, spacious apartment-style accommodations, and prime location contribute to the feeling that it is "worth the cost." It is particularly recommended for longer stays due to the fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities, making it a cost-effective and comfortable option compared to traditional hotels for extended visits. ROOST Midtown is also recognized as a "Michelin Key Selected property," indicating a "very special stay" experience.
Common Complaints

I absolutely loved this “hotel” and wish I had been staying for more than one night! Paul was so warm and welcoming when I arrived late. He did a fabulous job of describing the property and explaining the amenities. I was upgraded to a one bed suite. The suite was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. It had a full kitchen as well as a washer/dryer. I would be happy to live here. The bed was ...

We loved our stay at ROOST Midtown! We were visiting Philly for the marathon weekend. ROOST Midtown was perfect for this. It was relatively quiet at night despite being in a busy area, we were a 20 minute walk to the marathon start line and best of all we were able to make our own breakfast in the well stocked kitchen. The staff were so incredibly nice! I coordinated in advance with Austin the c...
