Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa: A Luxurious Retreat in the Heart of Zakopane

Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa in Zakopane, a Michelin Key Selected property, consistently receives high praise for its blend of historic charm, modern luxury, and exceptional service. Housed partly in the elegant, restored Villa Marilor, built in 1912, the hotel offers a sophisticated and tranquil escape for guests seeking to explore the Tatra Mountains and the vibrant town of Zakopane.

1. Overall Rating & Sentiment

The general consensus among guests is overwhelmingly positive, with the hotel frequently rated as "Wonderful" or "Superb." On Booking.com, it boasts an impressive score of 9.4 out of 10 from over 3,000 reviews. Hotels.com shows similar high ratings, with 9.8 for cleanliness and amenities, and 9.6 for staff and service. Many guests describe it as a "hidden gem" offering "true, old-school luxury."

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently laud the hotel's luxurious spa facilities, exceptional breakfast, and its central yet secluded location. The Nabe Spa and Wellness Centre, which includes an indoor pool, saunas, and a brine graduation tower, is a significant draw, often described as a "haven of tranquillity and rejuvenation." The hotel's unique design, blending interwar and contemporary architecture with highland-inspired charm and subtle Art Deco touches, also stands out. Attentive staff further enhance the guest experience.

3. Room Quality

Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa offers 139 guest rooms and suites, including Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suites, Family Suites, and Executive Suites. Rooms are described as sleek, beautifully illuminated, and designed with taste, featuring regal red and gold motifs and original artwork. Amenities include air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, laptop-compatible safes, and marble bathrooms with bathrobes, slippers, and hairdryers. Many rooms have French windows, and upper-floor suites often boast private balconies and panoramic views of the Tatra Mountains. Housekeeping maintains an incredibly high standard of cleanliness daily. However, some guests have noted that the beds in standard rooms felt somewhat small for a five-star retreat, and a few reviews mentioned transparent bathroom doors lacking adequate privacy.

4. Dining Experience

The hotel features two restaurants, including the acclaimed Eleonora restaurant, with one located in the historic Villa Marilor. The daily buffet breakfast receives outstanding reviews, praised for its extensive selection, delicious and fresh options, and local delicacies. Guests have highlighted the excellent quality and service provided by the cook preparing egg dishes. While breakfast is a highlight, some guests have expressed disappointment with the evening buffet dinner, citing a lack of value, taste, and insufficient vegan or plant-based options.

5. Service & Staff

The service and staff at Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa are consistently commended as being "wonderful," "organized," "attentive," "friendly," and "kind." Guests appreciate the staff's willingness to help with various requests, from arranging tickets and maps for local attractions to booking bus tickets to Kraków. The receptionists and concierges, in particular, receive frequent mentions for their helpfulness and positive attitude.

6. Location & Accessibility

Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa boasts a convenient and desirable location in central Zakopane. It is less than 500 meters from Krupówki, the city's main street, and approximately 300 meters from the railway station. This central positioning offers easy access to attractions such as Zakopane Aqua Park (8-minute walk) and is close to mountain trails, ski resorts like Gubałówka and Tor Saneczkowy, and direct bus links to Morskie Oko. While central, the hotel maintains a tranquil and remote feel due to its setting in a wooded park. On-site private parking is available for a fee (60 PLN per day).

7. Value & Pricing

Guests generally consider Nosalowy Park Hotel & Spa to offer good value for money, especially given its luxury status and excellent facilities. Room prices vary based on the season, day of the week, and room type. Superior Single Rooms typically start from around 540 PLN (approximately £106) from Sunday to Thursday, and 640 PLN (approximately £126) on weekends. Superior Double Rooms start from 590 PLN (approximately £116) on weekdays and 690 PLN (approximately £136) on weekends. These rates generally include the highly-praised breakfast buffet.

8. Common Complaints

While the overall sentiment is highly positive, some recurring criticisms include:

  • Room Size & Privacy: Some guests found the bed sizes in standard rooms to be somewhat small, and the transparency of some bathroom doors was noted as lacking privacy.
  • Spa Size: A few reviews mentioned that the spa facilities, while excellent, felt a bit small for the hotel's capacity.
  • Evening Buffet: The evening buffet dinner received criticism for not offering sufficient value, taste, or vegan/plant-based options, with one guest comparing it to a "military dinner" rather than a five-star experience.
  • Towel/Robe Size: Some guests observed that the provided robes and towels for the wellness center could be improved in size for better coverage.

After visiting the hotel, I can say that the experience was beyond expectations. The hotel feels very pleasant, with a fantastic atmosphere that immediately draws you into comfort and relaxation. We would have welcomed a little more detailed cleaning in places, but overall the stay was very pleasant and the smell of the hotel and cosmetics created a more pleasant feeling.. The breakfast was truly...

A beautiful place to stay in Zakopane. A special mention goes to Monika (front of house) and Olex (waiter) who went above and beyond. Breakfast was great with a wide choice, dinner was beautiful and the spa was an added bonus! Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed there for 4 days, 8 of us, 3 separate rooms. The hotel and rooms are very nice. Service, for the most part, was excellent. The rooms, however, in the bathroom, on the mirror, have a sign in English and Arabic that water needs to stay inside the shower, and if any gets out and causes damage, there is a fine. Why wouldn't this be first in Polish since the hotel is in Poland? The lights in ...

Fantastic stay! The room was incredibly spacious with an extra-large, super comfortable bed and two lovely balconies. The bathroom was large and spotless. A special thanks to the wonderful staff who were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Price is for 5 star, but at best it’s a barely 4 star hotel. Missing shower gel, soap, towels. Wellness area is small and super loud and overcrowded even in the low season. Breakfast depends on how many people in the hotel, when there are few people, it’s pretty average. WiFi is terribly slow, sometimes doesn’t work at all.

By far the worst service I have ever experienced. The staff were rude and unprofessional. The breakfasts were of a poor three-star hotel standard at best. I have no idea on what grounds this hotel claims to be five-star. An absolutely awful stay a complete disappointment.
