Expert Review: Nolinski Paris - Evok Collection
Nolinski Paris - Evok Collection, a Michelin Two-Key property, offers guests a luxurious and elegant stay in the heart of the French capital. Designed by Jean-Louis Deniot, the hotel blends classic French Art Deco with a modern, sophisticated twist, creating an ambiance often likened to a private member's club or a chic Parisian apartment.
1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
The general consensus for Nolinski Paris is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing their stays as "exceptional" and "wonderful." It consistently receives high ratings across platforms, with many reviewers giving it a perfect score and stating they would return. The hotel is praised for its "perfection" in room, service, and cleanliness. Michelin Guide guests have awarded it an impressive 18.8 out of 20, with high scores for service, cleanliness, and value.
2. Key Highlights
Guests particularly love the impeccable service, prime location, exquisite design, and excellent amenities, especially the spa and pool. The hotel's ability to provide a tranquil and quiet atmosphere despite its central location is a recurring highlight. The Art Deco-inspired decor, with touches of 1970s glamour, and the curated art and book collections are also frequently noted.
3. Room Quality
The rooms and suites at Nolinski Paris are described as bright, spacious, and comfortable, feeling more like private Parisian mini-apartments. They feature fine bedding, spacious wardrobes, plush carpets, rich curtains, and an elegant desk. The interior design, by Jean-Louis Deniot, showcases a sophisticated palette of greys and whites, enlivened with pops of emerald green, turquoise, burgundy, and burnt orange, along with neoclassical wood paneling, 1970s vintage furniture, and 1920s-style tilework in bathrooms. Many rooms offer soundproofing, ensuring a silent night's sleep even on a busy avenue. In-room amenities typically include air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, Marshall speakers, and complimentary WiFi, along with Nolinski bath products, bathrobes, and slippers. Some rooms also boast windows or balconies with views of Paris.
4. Dining Experience
Nolinski Le Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with classic French cuisine and Mediterranean-inspired dishes by Executive Chef Philip Chronopoulos. The restaurant's decor, by British designer John Whelan, blends Art Deco style with 1970s elements, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere. Guests appreciate the high-quality ingredients and delicious breakfast selections, which can be enjoyed as a continental buffet or à la carte in the glittering dining room, or as in-room dining. The Grand Salon serves as a cozy bar, offering cocktails, mocktails, and detox juices, often accompanied by live piano music in the evenings.
5. Service & Staff
The service and staff at Nolinski Paris receive exceptional praise, consistently described as friendly, excellent, helpful, and professional. Guests highlight the concierge's attentiveness, the warm welcome, and the staff's ability to anticipate and fulfill requests. Personal touches, such as welcome baskets and special considerations for celebrations, further enhance the guest experience.
6. Location & Accessibility
The hotel boasts an "excellent" and "fantastic" location in the 1st arrondissement on Avenue de l'Opéra. It is strategically positioned within easy walking distance of major Parisian attractions, including the Louvre Museum, Palais Garnier opera house, Tuileries Garden, Palais Royal, and the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré shopping area. The Pyramides metro station is directly outside the hotel, offering convenient access to public transport, and the Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre metro station is also nearby. Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports are approximately 45-50 minutes away by car.
7. Value & Pricing
Nolinski Paris is considered a luxury experience, and its pricing reflects that. While specific daily rates fluctuate, rooms can range from approximately $400 to over $800 per night, with weekend rates sometimes exceeding C$1,100-C$1,200. Despite the higher cost, many guests feel it offers "unparalleled elegance and sophistication" and is "worth every penny" for the exceptional stay, amenities, and service provided.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, some minor criticisms have been noted by guests. These include occasional difficulties in coordinating events with the concierge before arrival (though service upon arrival is lauded). Some guests found the closets to be small and suggested more drawer space. There were isolated instances of rudimentary or inconsistent massage quality and occasional oversights in turndown service, possibly due to understaffing. One reviewer felt the place was "too small and tiny" for the price. Some rooms might also lack coffee/tea machines.

I cannot start to express our enjoyment from staying here. Our deluxe room was spotless and so decorated. The general hotel decoration and decor was excellent. The staff were brilliant. The concierge prior to arrival provided us with helpful information and places to eat on our first night. Always at the door, telling taxi drivers where we want to go etc and reception was also very helpful. The...

I was torn between 4 and 5 stars here. Architecturally, Nolinski is a masterpiece - every detail fits, from mirrors to colors, from corridors to the pool. It feels like the place was built not for money, but for pride, heritage, or even art. And you can sense it. Rooms are beautiful, food is very good, and the pool is a hidden gem - imagine being alone in Paris during Fashion Week. That’s rare. ...

5 minutes walk from Le Louvre, Nolinski is an unassuming boutique hotel. Nicely appointed rooms although small (you are in Paris!). Extremely dog friendly including their lounge bar area, which is probably the highlight. Perfect speakeasy atmosphere with great cocktails and music. Nice way to chill after a day of visits.

The Nolinski is a stunning hotel with incredibly thoughtful design. However, my experience was marred when I was stopped by two male hotel staff late at night who questioned if I was a guest, which candidly felt like racial profiling. When I raised this with management, they cited "security purposes." There are far more professional, systematic ways to ensure hotel security—such as requiring gues...

My husband took me to Paris for my 40th birthday and we stayed at the Nolinski for the entire 2 week period we were there. I’ve never been treated better than when we were there and I will never ever forget this place. In fact we hope to go back to Paris just to stay at this hotel and see the staff again 😂! The allure of this hotel is the location and interiors. The entire hotel looks like it is...

We had an amazing stay at Nolinski Hotel in Paris. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Louvre and surrounded by charming cafés and iconic spots. The rooms are incredibly cozy with beautiful views of the city, and the staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. What made our experience truly unique were the thoughtful touches: one evening, they offered guests a relaxing laser mask ses...
