It is recognized as a five-star establishment and has earned two Michelin Keys, signifying "An exceptional stay." The hotel boasts an "Excellent" rating with a score of 8.9 based on numerous reviews, highlighting its facilities, comfort, staff, and particularly its location.

2. Key Highlights

Guests are consistently captivated by the hotel's stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the majestic Cap Canaille cliff. The property's Art Deco design, which blends Roaring Twenties charm with modern comforts, is a significant draw. The two heated infinity pools, one featuring a waterfall, are highly lauded for their beauty and setting overlooking the bay, providing direct sea access. The exceptional service, delicious cuisine, and the tranquil Sisley Spa are also frequently mentioned as key highlights.

3. Room Quality

The rooms and suites at Les Roches Blanches are celebrated for their elegance, comfort, and sophisticated design. They feature a modern aesthetic with subtle Art Deco touches, often incorporating black and gold accents. Most rooms offer king-size beds and many boast breathtaking sea views, with some including private balconies or panoramic windows. Modern amenities such as rain showers and Nespresso machines are standard. The hotel offers various room types, including Junior Suites, Executive Rooms, and signature suites named after famous past guests like Winston Churchill and Edith Piaf, some with spacious layouts up to 1054 sq ft.

4. Dining Experience

Les Roches Blanches offers a diverse and highly-regarded dining experience across its three restaurants:

  • Les Belles Canailles: This fine-dining establishment serves Mediterranean cuisine, with an option for al fresco dining overlooking Cap Canaille.
  • Le Loup Bar: Specializing in refined Nikkei cuisine and Japanese barbecues, it offers a sensory experience surrounded by pine trees and the sea.
  • Rocco: This restaurant presents a Mediterranean menu, offering antipasti, oysters, lamb shoulder, and even Savoyard fondues during the winter season. 6. Location & Accessibility

The hotel boasts a "spectacular" and "unique" location, perched on the white limestone rocks between the charming village of Cassis and the stunning Calanques National Park. It offers breathtaking views of Cap Canaille and direct sea access. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the marina and village, making it ideal for exploring local attractions. While the Calanques are accessible by foot, some routes can be arduous, and the concierge can arrange boat excursions. For transportation, it's a 45-minute drive from Marseille Provence Airport, with regular trains also available to Cassis.

7. Value & Pricing

Les Roches Blanches is considered a luxurious property offering unparalleled value, despite its higher price point compared to the average hotel in Cassis. While the average price per room is approximately $602, in contrast to the Cassis average of $197, guests generally feel that the stunning location, luxurious amenities, and overall opulent experience make it "well worth it." The Michelin Guide awards it "Two Keys," indicating an exceptional stay, further affirming its perceived value.

8. Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, some minor criticisms have been noted by guests. A recurring issue for some has been the initial allocation of a small room size for the price, though the staff has been known to rectify this with upgrades for special occasions. There have also been isolated comments about cooked breakfast items being lukewarm. Some guests have found the restaurant prices to be on the higher side. Employee reviews (not direct guest reviews) have also raised concerns about the maximum exploitation of interns and unfulfilled promises for permanent contracts.

The staff is the best feature of this gorgeous hotel. They are kind, friendly, and attentive. We had excellent service from Vlada, Nicholas, Florian, Adrian, and at the front desk from Leo! Having lived in Europe for many years, the people at Les Roches Blanches are rare. I am an American and at times have experienced a lack of patience and kindness from Europeans. Not here! Thank you so much fo...

Above, beyond, & sea! A special place. Elegant, reviving, giving, wholesome. The setting is stunning, and the hotel luxurious whilst still maintaining that relaxed vibe. The reception is fun with stylish quirky furnishings that don’t clash—they tell stories. Both pools (heated/sea water) overlook the pretty coastline. Our room was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. It went above & beyond. Breakf...

Absolute, understated perfection. The setting could excuse any flaws, but here we experienced none…. Truly an exceptional and memorable stay. With so many luxe hotels trying to out-luxe one another, this one gets the balance right without the gilding and excess that comes across as trying too hard. Exquisite in every way.

Went for coffee on the terrace, we were greeted by at least 8 staff and seated and then no one came to take our order. Staff milling around doing nothing, not at all busy. After 30 minutes had to seek out a member of staff to order - over priced 35€ for 2 teas and a cup of cold coffee. The view of the sea however was magnificent

This was my 3rd summer in a row staying at Les Roches Blanches. Though I immediately fell in love with the hotel the first time I stayed in it, there were some glitches in service notably at the beach club and restaurants my first 2 times staying there. However, this year the service was perfect. Well executed without being stuffy and not providing "over service" which can also be annoying. I woul...
