The general sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with guests describing it as a stunning, luxurious, and beautiful hotel that provides an exceptional experience.
2. Key Highlights
Guests consistently rave about several key aspects of the hotel. Its prime location in Verona's historic center is a standout feature, allowing easy access to major attractions. The impeccable service and attentive staff are frequently highlighted, as is the hotel's remarkable cleanliness. The design, which beautifully incorporates the building's 14th-century history and even ancient Roman elements with contemporary furnishings, is also a significant draw. Furthermore, guests often praise the comfortable beds and the high-quality breakfast experience.
3. Room Quality
The hotel features 70 newly renovated rooms and suites, each designed with meticulous attention to detail, combining modern aesthetics with classic Italian charm. Rooms are described as stylish, elegant, and comfortable, decorated in neutral tones with hardwood floors. Amenities include plush king-size beds with premium bedding, rainfall showers, luxurious toiletries, espresso coffee machines, kettles, bathrobes, large flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Some rooms offer stunning views of Verona's rooftops, and select accommodations feature original frescoes or paintings, or even a spa bath and separate living room in larger suites. Room sizes vary, from 17 square meters for a Superior Individual to a spacious 87 square meters for a presidential suite.
4. Dining Experience
The NH Collection Palazzo Verona offers an exquisite dining experience at its on-site restaurant, which serves a variety of delicious Italian and international dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast buffet is particularly praised for being extensive and satisfying, featuring fresh fruit juices, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, breads, and hot dishes made to order. Guests can enjoy their meals in an elegant and warm setting, some with views into the hotel's private, glass-covered courtyard. For a more casual setting, the tranquil lobby bar provides cocktails, wines from the Veneto region, aperitivos, and light bites.
5. Service & Staff
The hotel's service and staff are consistently lauded by guests as being warm, attentive, exceptional, helpful, and highly professional. The staff performance receives high ratings, often noted around 9.3-9.8. Specific individuals, such as Reyal, the breakfast manager, have been singled out for their outstanding attention to detail, warm demeanor, and ability to make guests feel welcomed and well cared for. The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk and a knowledgeable concierge team ready to assist with inquiries and requests, offering tips on local attractions, dining, and shopping.
6. Location & Accessibility
The NH Collection Palazzo Verona boasts a superb location in the very heart of Verona's historic center, situated on the ancient Roman Corso Porta Borsari thoroughfare. This prime setting allows guests to explore the city's iconic landmarks on foot, including Piazza delle Erbe (290 meters away), the Arena di Verona (a 5-minute walk), Juliet's House (550-600 yards), Torre dei Lamberti, and Castelvecchio Castle and Art Gallery. Verona Airport (Valerio Catullo Airport) is conveniently located about a 15-25 minute drive away. For guests traveling by car, the hotel offers on-site indoor parking for €50 per day, though spaces are limited and booking in advance is advised. It's important to note that the hotel is located within a ZTL (restricted traffic area), so guests should contact the hotel to register their license plate number to avoid fines.
7. Value & Pricing
While offering a luxurious experience, the NH Collection Palazzo Verona is generally considered to provide exceptional value for money. With an average price of around $412 per room, it presents a remarkable experience, especially when compared to the average hotel room price of $197 in Verona. Value for money ratings typically fall between 8.3 and 8.7.
8. Common Complaints
Despite overwhelmingly positive feedback, some minor recurring issues and criticisms have been noted. A few guests have expressed that the service, in some instances, did not fully align with their expectations for a five-star establishment, citing isolated cases of unwelcoming staff or inadequate assistance. One specific complaint mentioned a "weird smell" in a bathroom and a rocking toilet seat, which impacted the guest's perception of value. The cost of breakfast, at an additional 27 EUR for adults if not included in the room rate, was also mentioned as being expensive by some guests who might have preferred a lighter, more affordable continental option. Additionally, some reviews noted the absence of a gym or wellness facilities.

NH Collection Verona was a fantastic base for our stay in the city. We had a junior suite for three people and left genuinely impressed with both the hotel and the overall experience. The junior suite worked really well for three, with a pretty decent amount of space so we never felt cramped, even with luggage and shopping. The room felt thoughtfully laid out and comfortable, more like a small ap...

We have just finished a lovely four days at this hotel. It is more of a boutique hotel. The amenities are lovely and the staff very attentive. Our beautiful room came with breakfast each day, which was delicious and the server Reyal was absolutely amazing. We will come back to this hidden gem in Verona❤️

Excellent and comfortable rooms. As a Marriott regular Titanium member I chose this property even though I have no status with this hotel. Yet I was treated even better here using my AMEX benefit. A special mention to Reyal. We only had breakfast one morning during our stay. His staff at breakfast is fantastic. He asked us often if we needed anything and offered a top level of service found ...

Magnificent hotel in the old city centre, a combination of modern and old. The hotel's interior space is very interesting and historical, and it gives an aristocratic, royal ambience. The room was spacious. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and service (for coffee and eggs). Value added to the hotel is private parking, which is almost impossible to have in the old city of Verona, so in compari...

Everything was exceptional. All staff were friendly and always willing to speak and say hello. The breakfast was ideal for our family with a young child. Room was spacious. Great location to walk to all the attractions and bus stop nearby for access to the train station. Would recommend and if we visit Verona again we will return to this hotel.
