  • Design & Atmosphere: The hotel's puristic design with generous space, natural light, and warmth creates a cozy and inviting ambiance. It skillfully combines historical elements like 200-year-old ceiling beams and rustic oak floorboards with stylish modern touches. The open fireplace adds to the comfortable feel, especially during colder seasons.

It offers an outstanding dining experience with delicious seasonal dishes, first-class drinks, and a casual yet elegant setting, complete with an open fireplace. The kitchen emphasizes simple presentation using only high-quality, regional ingredients, some sourced directly from the hotel's "HYGGE the farm." Breakfast is served buffet-style and is consistently praised as "delicious" and "fantastic," though it incurs an additional charge of approximately EUR 25 per person. While feedback is largely positive, a few minor issues have been noted by guests:

  • Some visitors reported issues with room layout or occasional service inconsistencies during breakfast, though the breakfast quality itself is highly regarded.
  • An isolated complaint mentioned strong ambient noise at night, with some rooms located above the restaurant being perceived as loud or thin-walled, affecting sleep quality.
  • One guest noted an abrupt interaction with a receptionist regarding restaurant booking availability.
  • While the restaurant is highly praised, its pricing has been described as "pricey" by some, though generally considered justifiable for the quality.

It’s a comfortable facility with a hotel, restaurant and conference rooms (we had a company off-site there). The area is green and quiet, the hotel has an old fashioned spirit including open fire in the restaurant. The room was functional and cozy. The conference room was spacious, with very nice design, full of light and air. If you would like to have a dinner at the restaurant — make sure you bo...

Fantastic place! We stayed one night in a lovely room with a big balcony, very nice bed and bathroom. We had not reserved a table in the restaurant, since it was a weekday, thinking not so many guests would be around. We were so very wrong, this place is immensely popular so table reservations are a must. The atmosphere of the restaurant/bar/reception is incredibly nice and relaxed. Will definitel...

I tried to book with a larger group for two nights, one of which included dinner. We would be 13 couples, totaling 26 people. The persons I spoke to during a period of time to finalize the reservation showed complete lack of understanding in arranging dinner for 26 since they only accommodate up to 25 in a group in the restaurant if we didn’t pay 4000 euros for the whole group, i.e. 100% more than...

Delightful little hotel in Hamburg. Would be 5-stars except the wifi during our stay was rather terrible. Also, the hotel restaurant and bar are one unit, so there's no place to grab a drink after the restaurant closes, but they do provide a complimentary carafe of port in every room. Recently renovated and nice rooms with very nice bathrooms, although ours felt a little small and didn't have a go...
