8. Common Complaints

Given the overwhelmingly positive feedback, explicit "common complaints" are not widely reported for Instants d'Absolu Ecolodge & Spa. However, some aspects, while deliberate design choices, might be perceived differently by certain travelers:

  • Limited Connectivity: The intentional absence of televisions and phones in the rooms, while a core element of the "disconnect to reconnect" philosophy, may not appeal to all guests who prefer constant access to entertainment or communication devices. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lounge area, however.
  • Adult-Oriented Environment: The ecolodge is primarily designed for couples seeking a peaceful retreat, and the spa is exclusively reserved for adults. While families with one child sharing a room are accommodated, the overall ambiance and facilities are not specifically geared towards younger children, which might be a consideration for families.
  • Remote Location: While a major highlight for most, the deeply secluded nature of the ecolodge means it is quite a distance from larger towns or extensive external dining and entertainment options. This might be a minor drawback for guests who prefer more immediate access to diverse amenities outside the property.

Despite these potential considerations, the consistent high praise across various review platforms suggests that these elements are largely understood and appreciated as part of the unique Instants d'Absolu experience.

Exceptional! A remote, silent place, just the sounds of the wind and birds songs on the lake nearby. Superbe food. Interesting wines to discover. Great evening atmosphere chatting at fire side. comfortable rooms feeling like you have been invited by writer and adventurer Sylvain Tesson (make it Ernest Hemingway for those not familiar with French literature). I will be back!

Super nice peaceful location, very nice diner and breakfast was good as well. Our room was too small (<10m2) for the price we paid. Jacuzzi setting is nice, a shame it was not working 100%....last thing internet is too slow if you need to search for travel options but all together very nice place and surroundings!
