1. Overall Rating & Sentiment
The overall sentiment for Hu. Hotel is largely positive, with average ratings typically ranging from "Good" to "Excellent." Guests frequently praise the hotel's stylish ambiance and convenience. Beds are often highlighted as being very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Some rooms offer city views or even views of the Mississippi River. However, a few guests have noted that while the rooms are generally clean, some aspects like windowsills might be dusty or carpets in hallways could use refreshing as the building is an older property.

A breakfast buffet is available for purchase, typically costing around $10 per person. Guest opinions on breakfast are mixed; some find it "great" and "lovely with plenty of choice of cold food," while others feel it's more akin to a hostel breakfast and lacks hot food variety or consider it "simply pitiful" for the price. The Hu. Roof bar is consistently praised for its views, though drink prices have been mentioned as expensive outside of happy hour.

The service and staff at Hu. Hotel are frequently praised as one of its strongest assets. Guests describe them as excellent, friendly, helpful, welcoming, and professional. Compared to the average price of a hotel room in Memphis, Hu. Hotel is seen as providing "incredible value" for its luxurious amenities and service. Parking is available for a fee, though some guests have found the parking area to be dark or expensive, with potential issues of being double-charged.

- Cleanliness Issues: Some guests have reported dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of certain rooms and common areas, citing issues like stained carpets, dirty walls, or rooms not being cleaned during their stay. One severe review mentioned "filthy floors, dried up blood stain on the comforter," and a "huge circular urine stain in center of mattress."
- Billing Problems: A few guests have experienced issues with incorrect charges, such as being double-charged for their stay or for parking, and difficulties in resolving these issues.
- Dated Aspects: Despite a renovation completed in August 2021, some guests still perceive parts of the hotel, like hallway carpets or certain room fixtures, as outdated or in need of refresh or repair.
- Breakfast Quality/Value: The breakfast, while a buffet, has received mixed reviews, with some finding the hot food selection limited or the overall experience not matching hotel expectations for the price.
- Rooftop Bar Pricing: While the views are spectacular, the prices for drinks at the rooftop bar have been noted as expensive.

Staff was fantastic. Especially Deadrick. This man made me feel like I had paid double what I had paid. All of the women that ran the front desk, and the people running the breakfast were great as well. Friendly and professional. Location was great, about a 10-15 minute walk to Beale St. Close to a lot of restaurants. It's an older hotel, so some of the carpets are a bit ratty, but the room was ni...

I stayed at Hu. Hotel for a couple of nights and had a pleasant experience with the reception desk ladies and the gentleman tending the area outside of the doors. All polite and helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel itself which feels in retro style needs attention in a few areas. The carpeted floor (I was on the 13th floor) had passed its service life and creases and folds are visible. Not qui...
