3. Room Quality
The suites at Hotel Quadrifolio are described as spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, each with its unique character. They feature high ceilings and large windows, some offering views of a lush garden or the bustling city streets. Modern amenities are seamlessly integrated with colonial touches, including king beds with Frette Italian sheets, a pillow menu, 42-inch plasma/LED TVs (some with Smart TV and Netflix), and iPod docking stations. Complimentary minibars, stocked with snacks, sodas, and water, are a welcome touch. 4. Dining Experience
The dining experience at Hotel Quadrifolio, particularly breakfast, receives rave reviews. A complimentary and "superb" full breakfast is served daily at a communal table in the interior courtyard, fostering a friendly atmosphere among guests. The breakfast menu varies regularly and includes popular items like eggs, pancakes, and local favorites such as arepas con huevo. The hotel also features a restaurant serving American cuisine, and lunch and dinner can be arranged upon request with advanced notice.

6. Location & Accessibility
Hotel Quadrifolio boasts a "great location" in the historic walled city of Cartagena (Centro Histórico), specifically on Calle del Cuartel. It is situated on a quiet street, yet within a 5-minute walk of numerous attractions, including museums, restaurants, shops, bars, Catedral de Santa Catalina, Plaza de la Aduana, and the Clock Tower Monument. The Caribbean Sea is only about 500 feet away. Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) is approximately a 15-20 minute drive, and the hotel offers an airport shuttle service for a fee.
7. Value & Pricing
As a Michelin One Key luxury property, Hotel Quadrifolio is considered a high-end experience. While exact pricing varies, a one-night stay for two adults in early 2026 was found starting around $592.59, excluding taxes and fees, with other rates seen from $278. Guests generally find the exceptional service, luxurious amenities, and prime location justify the cost, deeming it a worthwhile investment for a memorable stay.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, a few minor criticisms have been noted. One recurring point is the lack of lounge chairs directly around the main pool. Additionally, the rooftop terrace, while featuring a hot tub and cushioned lounge areas, offers views primarily of neighboring buildings rather than sweeping city vistas, and can be uncomfortably hot during the daytime. These, however, are generally considered minor inconveniences in an otherwise exceptional hotel experience.

Very kind of friendly staff. The hotel is beautiful and so clean. The pool was a little different than I expected. Not really a pool you can lounge and relax be beside. But it is beautiful. There is a rooftop Jacuzzi that is really neat. The breakfast is incredible. The hotel is a couple blocks away from the noisy touristed areas, which is very nice at night.

Such a brilliant value for money location in Cartagena. The team at Quadrifolio were so attentive and friendly, and made our stay just amazing. The hostel itself has brilliant facilities whilst maintaining the boutique nature of it. We stayed in a gorgeous suite and enjoyed our stay (notable the breakfast!) hugely. Thank YOU!!
