Amenities typically include marble bathrooms, stocked minibars, complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and a pillow menu. Some rooms also boast private terraces or balconies.

4. Dining Experience

The dining experience, particularly breakfast, is a standout feature. Guests describe the breakfast as "spectacular," "rich and varied," and "amazing," with a wide selection that caters to various dietary needs, including vegetarian and vegan options. The quality of fruit, variety of breads, fresh vegetables, and freshly pressed juices are noted, with staff readily accommodating special requests. The dining room itself is beautiful, offering magnificent mountain views. It is just a short walk from the pedestrianized shopping area (100m) and the city center (5 minutes). The Faloria cable car (ski lifts) is an 8-minute walk or approximately 5 minutes away, and a public ski bus stops nearby, free for ski pass holders. Prices for rooms can start from around US$483, but vary significantly based on room type, season, and inclusions.

8. Common Complaints

While generally positive, a few recurring criticisms have been noted:

  • Air Conditioning: Some older reviews mention a lack of air conditioning, which could make rooms warm, especially if sleeping with windows open due to potential noise from the river or street. However, this might be less of an issue in an Alpine climate.
  • Ski Transfers Cost: The hotel transfers to ski lifts are not complimentary and can be pricey, with one guest mentioning a cost of €80 euro a day for a short journey.
  • Evening Menu Limitation: A few guests have found the evening menu to be limited.
  • No Gym (historical complaint): One review mentioned "No gym", however, more recent reviews and hotel descriptions clearly list a gym and fitness center as an amenity. This suggests either an older review or a temporary closure, and is likely no longer a valid complaint.
  • Hot Tub Temperature: One guest wished the hot tub was hotter.

Amazing hotel with a fantastic terrace and even better food. The drinks are top-notch, and the burger is easily my favorite in the city. Prices are very reasonable for the high quality of service provided. More than anything, the staff makes this place feel like home—their charm and hospitality are why we return. Special thanks to Sergio, Nicola and Fulvio for making our dinners extra special. Hig...

Review of the bar, can’t speak for anything else. Nice hotel in the centre of cortina. The bar is nicely furnished, including a grand piano that can be played on request. Staff are very accommodating and the prices are fair for a hotel of this calibre. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back. 5 stars.

Just simply a wonderful hotel in the heart of one of the most beautiful towns in the Alps. The lodgings, service and food/beverage offerings are all of the highest standards. Staff are warm and friendly too. The location is perfect in my mind as it's just slightly out of the busy pedestrian area, so you don't get all the noise. Thank you to the team at the Grand Savoia, it's always a great stay he...

Grand Hotel Savoia Cortina d’Ampezzo (A Radisson Collection Hotel) This is a true landmark hotel in Cortina and it feels like it. From the moment you walk in, you get that “historic grand hotel” atmosphere with a modern, renovated finish. It has the elegance and character you want in the Dolomites, but it still feels comfortable and well-run instead of stiff. Location is a big advantage. You’re ...

We stopped in the bar for drinks and loved the hotel design and atmosphere. There was a live pianist and I had one of the best bottles of wine. We were served by Leon who not only was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly but also went above and beyond to make the experience really memorable. Would come back and stay at this hotel! Great location.

She even called us the minute they were informed about the car wire closure. Donah also helped us planned our visit. The team in the restaurant and lounge are nice and welcoming. Doha helped us in the breakfast, she is very nice and made our experience...
