The hotel's unique and stylish design, blending modern elements with antiques, creates a chic and comfortable environment, particularly in its common areas like the living room and open kitchen. The "honest bar" in the lounge and the adorable mini terrace are also appreciated touches.

3. Room Quality

The twelve guest rooms at Casa das Janelas com Vista are individually decorated with a distinctive blend of contemporary and classic elements, featuring unique objects such as velvet loveseats or hand-painted wood armoires. Standard features across rooms include parquet floors, updated bathrooms, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests often highlight the luxurious and comfortable beds. Superior rooms offer the added benefit of private balconies with picturesque views over the Tagus River and city rooftops. While standard rooms are noted as being "fairly tiny," they are considered well-appointed and clean. It's worth noting that not all rooms have a view, and some lack TVs or a lift.

4. Dining Experience

The breakfast experience at Casa das Janelas com Vista is a definite highlight for many guests. Described as "delicious," "plentiful," "fresh," and "amazing," it includes freshly made eggs to order and a variety of options. Freshly baked pastel de nata (a traditional Portuguese tart) is also a delightful offering.

It serves as an ideal base for exploring Lisbon, being just a short walk from the bustling areas of Chiado, Santa Catarina, Príncipe Real, Baixa, and Santos. Popular attractions like Avenida da Liberdade and Rossio Square are within a 15-minute walk. Staying at this hotel was fabulous. Not only because of its location—which is my favorite in Lisbon, as I consider it quieter and safer, as well as brighter and close to everything—but also because of the staff. The hotel staff are wonderful: attentive, precise, and friendly. They give you privacy in the common areas, yet at the same time they were incredibly kind and helpful with our little one. ...

Nice comfy rooms, quiet as should be and in an area where you can easily reach food locations, metro for travel or sightseeing spots. But you will be climbing some stairs/elevation in the streets. Because Bairro Alto is build into a hillside or something and you'll notice that pretty quickly. So it's not barrier free. Neither the Casa nor the region is suitable for wheelchair.
