We booked Hotel Rote Wand last minute ahead of a family wedding and it turned out to be one of the most memorable stays of our trip. It’s an excellent, cosy, and stylish hotel that balances function, design, and service beautifully. It’s genuinely difficult to fault. We were only staying one night and chose the hotel largely because of its gourmet reputation. On the evening of our stay, dinner wa...

Our room was fine. We were on the corner of the building so had a lot of foot and road traffic which took away from the patio enjoyment. At night when we sat on our patio we were blinded by the lights from the stairwell of the building in front of ours. My suggestion, motion censored lights, or even turning them down/off at night. The view was very nice except for this significant inconvenience. ...

Scenic quiet location 3 km from Lech. Food is as good as you would find anywhere in the Alps. Every course in the evening an adventure and a cheese selection beyond your dreams. Breakfast every morning was table service and all aspects were spot on. Excellent gym if weather closes in, please put a water fountain in the gym! Only criticism would be that things like bottled water and after dinner co...

We are coming to this place for years! We also tried other accommodations in this area but finally we always come back. Excellent food, superb wellness, ski in ski out or at least a ski bus in front of the door gives you easy access to one of the best ski areas in the world. The service is just great starting with the bell man at arrival and ending with the amazing food at the "Chef's Tabel". Than...

Beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Very comfortable with great food and an excellent bar (great cocktails). Not in the main town of Lech but in the beautiful Zug valley, very peaceful and away from the hussle and bustle but 5 mins walk to the nearest gondola to the slopes and 3 mins walk to the free bus service which runs every 20mins and takes less than 10mins to the the centre of Lech. Very nicely decorated hotel and very good food and wine (everything local and very well cooked). The service was also very good and friendly. The swimming pools are quite deep so it’s difficult to play with kids and they are both rather cold. On the contrary, the bedrooms on arrival but also all the common areas of the hotel are overheated (easily 23 degrees). For a sustainable hotel where everyth...
