The general sentiment is one of deep appreciation for its unique design, quiet ambiance, and the high quality of its offerings, often likened to staying at a very cool friend's house rather than a traditional hotel. It's recognized by the Michelin Guide with One Key, signifying a very special stay with standout architecture, interior design, service quality, overall character, and a strong sense of place and value.

2. Key Highlights

Guests particularly praise UMA Casa for its exceptional design and architecture, where "the integrity and quality of the design is exceptional," and "the level of detail is superb." It serves as a peaceful refuge from the bustling city, filled with natural elements and lush greenery. The personalized, "exceptional service" and the "fabulous breakfast" are also frequently highlighted. The hotel's unique concept, inspired by Mexican cuisine and culture, weaves through its aesthetics and guest experience.

3. Room Quality

UMA Casa features nine individually decorated suites, each named after a typical Mexican ingredient, showcasing unique designs with carefully thought-out details. The rooms are described as soundproofed and truly quiet, ensuring a restful sleep. Quality materials, such as top-notch duvet covers and linen curtains, are used throughout. Amenities include Smart TVs, rainfall showers, bathrobes, hair dryers, in-room safes, and LoredAna bath products. 4. Dining Experience

Breakfast at UMA Casa is a significant highlight and is included with the stay. It's consistently reviewed as "fabulous" and a "magnificent," "flavorful feast." The gourmet breakfast combines continental options with a diverse à la carte menu, which can include salmon on sourdough, various egg preparations, roasted cactus with panela cheese, enfrijoladas, chilaquiles, sopes, enchiladas, and even immune-boosting shots. This delightful meal is served on the hotel's rooftop terrace, often offering city views. While the hotel does not operate a full-service restaurant for lunch or dinner, occasional dinners can be arranged.

5. Service & Staff

The service at UMA Casa is lauded as "truly exceptional" with guests consistently commending the "wonderful host & staff" and "lovely owners." The family-run nature of the hotel, particularly the Gonzalez family, contributes to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making guests feel right at home. We got to enjoy a delicious & healthy breakfast/brunch every morning at our leisure, and tried a variety typical dishes along with seasonal fruits and fresh honey. Simply put, if you can, you should stay at Uma Casa. Hands down my new favorite hotel. The thoughtful team, gorgeous room, delicious breakfast and wonderfully quiet location come together in a perfect symbiosis. We had the pleasure of staying here for one week and my only regret is not staying longer. Yes, the location requires a taxi or uber to popular tourist areas (Condesa, Polanco, Roma etc) ...

I went to a fashion pop-up here, and they gave us a tour of the facilities. It is gorgeous. The owners Claudia and Blanca are so kind and care about their guests. They have decorated the place with lovely Mexican artifacts. The terrace is such a beautiful place to hang out and make new friends. It is a must stay!
