The suites feature elegant décor, natural colors, and wooden furnishings, embracing a rustic charm. Each suite is generously appointed with a full kitchen, a fireplace, and a spa bath or jetted tub. Guests appreciate the luxurious touches such as hypo-allergenic and premium bedding, blackout drapes, and heated bathroom floors. The resort also offers a range of complimentary activities, which adds to its perceived value.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, some guest feedback has noted occasional issues. A few recent reviews mentioned restaurants being potentially understaffed, leading to waits for service. In isolated instances, there were mentions of food causing stomach upset, concerns about room cleanliness, and some staff being perceived as unfriendly, though these appear to be outliers against the general consensus of excellent service and cleanliness. Employee reviews, separate from guest experiences, sometimes cite concerns regarding management, work-life balance, and compensation.

Can't say enough good things about Whiteface Lodge. My wife and I traveled with our 1 year old daughter for 4 nights. The staff were great, our suite was well appointed and comfortable, amenities were top notch. Great stay. A little detail I really enjoyed: the room decor is heavy, made of metal and wood and leather. A nice escape from the Amazon/Wayfair world of cheap Airbnb furnishings.

We stayed at the Whiteface Lodge for two nights in October for our wedding, and it was an amazing experience. The staff was so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived. Our suite was the perfect place to get ready with family the morning of the wedding. It was spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated for fall. After an offsite ceremony, we hosted our wedding dinner in a semi-private dining spa...

Whiteface Lodge was always a stop for us after a day of snowmobiling. We have never stayed on property which is absolutely beautiful. It was because of the service we would receive by staff that brought us back often. This past Valentines Day weekend after an afternoon of snowmobiling we made our customary stop to grab a cocktail and some lunch. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted and there we...

My family and I recently stayed in Sep ‘25 at this hotel, and while there were aspects we enjoyed—such as the pleasant atmosphere and thoughtful amenities—there were also several issues that affected our stay. When we checked into our room, we found some cleanliness concerns: dirty clothes in the laundry basket, hair on the bathroom floor, and an unclean commode tank lid. The rest of the room was...

Beautiful property...feels like it is inspired by lodges like Old Faithful Inn Lodge. Spacious aesthetic rooms. Lot of activities to do on property, eg, ice skating/hockey, bowling, hot tubs/heated pool that span indoor and outdoor, etc. No addnl costs once there...eg, free coffee all day outside restaurant, free valet parking, free skate rentals, etc. Exceptional staff ... special thanks to Wend...

We had our wedding at WFL in October 2025, and it was an absolute dream come true. We had our ceremony at the Canoe Club and the reception at the Clubhouse, and we stayed in the Clubhouse Thursday-Monday. Everyone at WFL was so lovely, helpful, and professional every step of the way. Our guests raved about the delicious food (esp the steak!) & drink, spectacular views, and wonderful staff. Extra ...
