We loved our stay. James at check was very good and we noted that staff were very flexible on a couple of request. Room is compact but fine for few nights. Food was lovey and breakfast was great and interesting. I do think you should warm people via your web site that a ‘full English is not an option’. I noticed several comments about this on Tripadvisor. Great stay, we loved and will be back. G...

We recently stayed at The Gallivant for three nights and overall had a pleasant experience, particularly thanks to its fantastic location. It’s perfectly placed for exploring Rye and the surrounding area, including a sandy beach 5 minute walk across the road and through a car park making it an ideal base for a short break. The hotel itself has a lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed our time there. Ho...

Great location 1 minute walk from the beach. Lovely food, drinks and gorgeous decor. A really fab home from home vibe. Lorena and Nikita were fantastic. Really amazing. Sorry if I’ve spelt names wrong! They were friendly, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great, helped out with a few things we needed and were just fantastic smiley people! Please do pass on my thanks to them.

This may be the loveliest hotel at which I've ever stayed (and I've sampled many.) Small tokens such as providing wellies for the beach and a free piece of cake at 4pm were much appreciated. Breakfast and dinner superb. Staff extremely helpful, particularly the ones on the welcome desk.
