The Rosewood Guangzhou, a recipient of one Michelin Key and a Forbes Five-Star rating, offers an exceptionally luxurious experience perched atop the CTF Finance Centre in the heart of Guangzhou's Tianhe District. 1. Overall Rating & Sentiment

The general consensus for Rosewood Guangzhou is overwhelmingly positive, with guests frequently describing it as exceptional, perfect, and the most luxurious hotel in Guangzhou. Reviews often highlight its stunning aesthetics, unparalleled views, and the high quality of all its offerings, contributing to a "Mansion in the Sky" experience.

2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently laud several aspects of the Rosewood Guangzhou:

  • Design & Views: The hotel's elegant and modern design, infused with Chinese artistry, is frequently praised. Its location on the upper floors of the CTF Finance Centre means panoramic cityscapes, including the Canton Tower and Pearl River, are a defining feature, enhancing everything from dining to relaxation.
  • Amenities: The comprehensive wellness and leisure facilities, including a two-floor spa, indoor pool with a view, and a 24-hour fitness center, are considered excellent and align with luxury standards.
  • Dining Variety: With seven upscale dining venues, the hotel offers a diverse culinary journey.
  • Prime Location: Its central location in Zhujiang New Town provides convenient access to major attractions and shopping.

3. Room Quality

The rooms at Rosewood Guangzhou are a major highlight, consistently receiving top marks. They are described as impeccably designed, spacious, and luxuriously appointed. Key features include:

  • Design: A blend of modern sophistication and Chinese artistry, utilizing high-quality materials.
  • Comfort: Guests frequently praise the comfortable mattresses. Rooms often feel more like suites, with features like hallways, small tables, walk-in wardrobes, and elegant bathrooms equipped with Japanese-style toilets, showers, and freestanding baths.
  • Views: Floor-to-ceiling windows offer spectacular views of the city skyline, the IFC Tower, and the Pearl River.
  • Amenities: Rooms include minibars, espresso makers, flat-screen TVs, complimentary wired and wireless internet, and daily housekeeping.

4. Dining Experience

The hotel boasts a robust and varied food and beverage program across its seven dining concepts.

  • Lingnan House: The Chinese restaurant, known for fine Cantonese cuisine inspired by regional classics and Shunde cuisine, has earned a Michelin star.
  • Breakfast: Served at Patina European Brasserie & Terrace on the 95th floor, breakfast is a standout experience. It offers an extensive and beautifully presented selection of high-quality Western and Asian dishes, including made-to-order eggs, fresh pastries, dim sum, Cantonese congee, and noodle stations.
  • Other Venues: Other options include Black Iron for Japanese cuisine and sushi, and the iconic Too-High Bar on the 107th floor, offering panoramic views and a selection of spirits. The Club 68 lounge also offers impressive food options with a different double-boiled soup and sumptuous Chinese dishes nightly.

5. Service & Staff

Service at Rosewood Guangzhou is generally described as polished, professional, and very attentive, with staff providing warm and personalized experiences.

  • Personalization: Guests appreciate proactive gestures, such as staff arranging adjoining rooms, offering kids' bathrobes, and coordinating departures efficiently. Concierge services, in particular, receive high praise for helpfulness and English fluency.
  • Efficiency: Check-in and check-out processes are typically smooth and efficient.
  • Minor Inconsistencies: Some reviews mention minor inconsistencies during peak occupancy, and while many staff are fluent in English, some may require redirection to an English-speaking colleague.

6. Location & Accessibility

Rosewood Guangzhou is strategically located in Zhujiang New Town, the city's business district, occupying the top 39 floors of the CTF Finance Centre.

  • Neighborhood: It's surrounded by luxury brands and extensive shopping experiences, including direct access to the K11 Art Mall. The area is vibrant and offers a mix of art, fashion, dining, and retail.

It also offers easy access to Zhujiang New Town and Huacheng Dadao metro stations, with Huacheng Dadao Metro Station being only 300m away. Airport transfers are available.

7. Value & Pricing

Given its status as an ultra-luxury property and a Michelin Key hotel, the Rosewood Guangzhou offers outstanding value, particularly when compared to equivalent hotels in other major global cities where rates might be three to four times higher.

  • Price Range: Room rates generally average between $230 and $400 per night, with deals sometimes starting from $222. Prices can vary by season, with September and June often offering cheaper deals.
  • Inclusions: Many stays include complimentary benefits when booked through certain channels, such as hotel credit, daily breakfast, and potential room upgrades.

8. Common Complaints

While largely positive, some recurring issues or criticisms have been noted by guests:

  • Navigation & Elevators: The hotel's vertical layout, spread across numerous floors of a skyscraper, can occasionally make navigation less intuitive, and elevator logistics might cause minor delays due to the need to switch between multiple lifts.
  • Service Inconsistencies: Minor inconsistencies in service during peak occupancy have been reported.
  • Language Barrier: Some staff members may not speak English fluently, though they are usually prompt in finding a colleague who can assist.
  • WiFi Issues: For some reason, the hotel's WiFi IP address can be flagged as fraud on certain Western websites like Reddit, although it does include GFW bypass capabilities.
  • Too High Bar Atmosphere: The famed 107th-floor Too High bar sometimes receives criticism for having minimum spends on window seats, creating a crowded, nightclub-like atmosphere where some patrons might linger for extended periods over inexpensive drinks for photo opportunities.
  • Lounge Refreshment Variety: Minor room for improvement in refreshment variety or seating availability in the lounge during peak times has been noted.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a truly 5-star experience overall. Located right at the heart of the city. Amazing view from the room and friendly helpful staff. Very clean and cozy room. Special thanks to concierge Mike, who was exceptionally patient and helpful with our transport booking arrangements. Although his shift was scheduled to end at 7:00am, he kindly waited until 7:10am for us to come down and personal...

This is my first and last time staying in a Rosewood hotel. I started out very excited to try but the service was lacking in so many areas. 1. Room cleaning was extremely erratic: There was no body lotion on day 1, amenity kit went missing on day 2, and only on the last day (day 4) did we realise there were hand towels meant to be provided on the tray. Hair shed from blowing hair is still present ...

This place is outstanding. I have been spoiled and I don't think I will ever be able to stay anywhere else. Stayed in GZ for a week. Spent the last two nights at the Conrad (lovely as well) but most the time at Rosewood. Such an amazing hotel. Service might be considered overwhelming because EVERY employee will say hello and make sure you are attended to. Very friendly and helpful. Peter the g...

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, a true 7 star. Amazing views from the rooms and at breakfast at the 95th floor. The rooms are modern, and luxurious, the bathrooms are modern and smart. The gym is great, equipped with Technogym brand equipment. But best thing about this hotel has to be the service, the staff are excellent and always nearby to help. Special shout out to the gentleman who manag...

During my stay at the hotel (18/11/2025), I was shocked to discover a recording camera pointed directly at the bed, hidden above the metal décor in the room. I documented everything with photos and videos. This is a major breach of privacy that should never happen in any hotel, let alone one claiming to be luxury. After reporting the incident, my room was changed — however: • No one from security...

The ultimate business hotel. Impressive for meetings, with a fantastic gym and pool to unwind. Everyone is fantastic and provides greatest service!! The views from the higher floors, especially from the River View rooms and the Sky Bar, are simply spectacular. You're right in the heart of the CBD, overlooking the Pearl River and Canton Tower.
