Interiors feature designer Italian furniture, parquet floors, and sophisticated lighting, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere.
  • Amenities: The comprehensive amenities are a major highlight, including a full-service Egoista Spa with Turkish bath, sauna, and hydromassage pool, a well-equipped gym, indoor and seasonal outdoor pools, a private beach club (Dalmazia) with complimentary cabanas, and free bicycle rental. The rooftop terrace and lounge bar (67 Sky Lounge) are also highly valued for their panoramic views.
  • Dining: The hotel boasts multiple excellent dining options, including the Michelin-starred Lux Lucis restaurant, which is a significant draw for food enthusiasts.

3. Room Quality

The 28 rooms and suites are designed for modern luxury, characterized by sunny and spacious layouts, parquet floors, and oversized windows. They are fitted with designer Italian furniture (such as Flexform, Armani Casa, B&B), glass-walled marble bathrooms with power showers, and high-tech amenities like Bose sound systems and mood lighting. Beds are exceptionally plush, often featuring Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters, and a pillow menu. Many rooms offer garden views, and some suites include private balconies or terraces with views of the garden and mountains. In-room wine fridges stocked with a curated selection are a notable touch.

4. Dining Experience

Principe Forte dei Marmi offers a diverse and high-quality dining experience across its three restaurants and bars:

  • Lux Lucis: The rooftop, Michelin-starred restaurant, led by Executive Chef Valentino Cassanelli, is a "veritable tour de force of creativity" offering contemporary regional cuisine with experimental seafood dishes and stunning panoramic views of the Apuan Alps and Tyrrhenian Sea. Guests rave about the intense flavors and faultless food.
  • Principe Restaurant: This more informal, all-day dining option focuses on traditional Italian and Tuscan cuisine in a bright, stylish ambiance overlooking the garden and pool area. Reviews highlight the excellent food and impeccable service here as well.

A free shuttle service to Querceta Train station is also provided.

7. Value & Pricing

While considered a luxury property, some guests have expressed mixed feelings about the value for money, particularly regarding the pricing of food and amenities beyond the room rate. However, many still find it to be a worthwhile investment for a memorable and luxurious stay, appreciating the high-quality amenities and services. Typical nightly room prices have been noted to range from around $325 to $606, though prices can vary significantly.

8. Common Complaints

While reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor points of criticism have emerged:

  • Spa Access Cost: Access to the Egoista Spa is sometimes noted as an extra cost, rather than being fully included in the room rate.
  • Spa Air Quality: One guest mentioned the spa area in the basement could feel a "little bit闷" (stuffy).
  • Breakfast Service Pace: A single review noted the ordering staff at breakfast were "a little bit急" (rushed).
  • Value for Money (for some): As mentioned, a recurring theme for a minority of guests is the feeling that while the hotel is excellent, the pricing for some amenities and food might be on the higher side.
  • Room Furnishings (isolated): One older review mentioned dissatisfaction with "very cheap" room furnishings and finishes, as well as an overly hard mattress and pillows, and inadequate privacy curtains in the bathroom. This appears to be an outlier given the strong positive sentiment on room quality generally.

My wife and I had a great time at one of their amazing suites. The two highlights were the concierge's desk run by Lorenzo and their rooftop Michelin-star rated dinner. Lorenzo was very informative and timely with curating excursion around the area and setting up timely transfers to facilitate travel. The dinner was amazing with amazing views (highest building in the area). We ended up getting a 1...

The hotel was clean and the staff were lovely, the pool area was also pleasant. Yet, keep in mind that it's renovated in a very modern style, which is a slight shame, as one loses that Italian charm. Also, it would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room of a 5* hotel, right? But the hotel is pet friendly, and we had a lovely stay.

I recently stayed at this amazing 5-star boutique hotel from 6 September to 9 September 2018. First, the property is beautiful and incredibly clean. Do not miss the top floor bar and lounge to watch the sunset. The hotel and pool staff gave the best service I can ever recall. My appreciation goes to Lisa, Lorenzo and Ugo who attended to ever need with sincere care and thoughtfulness. We als...

There where a few hotels I have been visiting where the ratio quality-price was so unjustified. In general, Forte dei Marmi is a nice fancy town, but the price of the hotel is just unacceptable. It’s cold and without charm. It’s aging badly. Some designer lamps and chairs will not save it. We had a view on the mountains, but also on the roof of the pool restaurant. The light in the room is just im...

Hotel is excellent and very clean. The customer service is second to none but the only negative thing I have to comment on is the charge for the beach. To enjoy a day on the beach you are required to pay a minimum of 300 and up to 650 euros per day depending on how close to the sea you are sitting. We were told we were not on a beach package and I was unaware of this when booking with Agoda w...
