8. Common Complaints

While overwhelmingly positive, some minor points of feedback have been noted:

  • Breakfast Preparation: One guest observed that scrambled eggs were served with ham and cheese from the buffet separately, rather than cooked together to order, which was a minor preference point.
  • Crowding in Common Areas: Due to the hotel's popularity, especially as a wedding destination, the lobby and common facilities can occasionally feel crowded, potentially diminishing the exclusive ambiance, though service reportedly remains uncompromised.
  • Limited Japanese Breakfast Variety: Despite being a Japanese hotel, one review mentioned a relatively small selection of Japanese-style breakfast items at the buffet.
  • Minor Design Suggestions: A guest made suggestions for design adjustments such as ensuring beds are not visible from the entrance, adding handrails in the bathroom shower area, an extra basin, or internet TV options, although these did not significantly detract from their overall positive experience.

This hotel is an above average 5 star hotel in experience, facilities and most of all its people. Large hotel with large tasteful spaces and direct link to the Tokyo rail network by escalator within the hotel. Directly across the road from the Imperial Palace and a short reasonable walk to Tokyo station and Daimaru shopping centre. Rooms were very nice and clean and quiet. The best water pressure ...

Perfect service! All staff are nice and helpful during my whole trip esp. when the concierge helps me to book the local service. It's one of the best I found in Europe, the US, Macau, and Japan. Good view. The room is a little bit small but understandable because of its location. I would consider it when visiting Tokyo in the future.

I recently stayed at the Palace and it was amazing. What it makes it truly outstanding is the quality of service and the attention to detail. All the services: room cleaning, concierge, front desk, laundry, royal bar... are excellent and make your stay feel a luxury experience. Besides that, the rooms are large and the they have view to the imperial palace. There are bright as there is no building...

This is an incredible location for access to Tokyo Station, the Palace, and Ginza. The rooms are superb and the view helps inspire and relax. What really set this hotel apart was the incredible service. From the moment you step in the building, your bags are magically whisked away. The staff remember your name and they go to every length to make you feel like you’re the most important person in t...

Superb. I stayed here at the start of a return tour of Japan and was fortunate to be able to stay at the Palace Hotel, given current exchange rates I would say it is good value compared to many of the 5* chains. Even by Japanese standards the service was impeccable. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, many of them have balconies with good views (both unusual in Tokyo in my experience!).

Once in a lifetime experience at the Palace Hotel for my wife and I on our Honeymoon. Extremely accomodating, exceptional service, and beautiful rooms. From check-in to check-out, the staff was very helpful in directing us to locations we wished to visit. The rooms were spacious and luxurious. We did not dine in the hotel, but around the city. A ten minute walk to Toyko station where you can trave...
