Chris and May served us drinks on our first night here. We were not familiar with mezcal but Chris took the time to walk us through the basics of mezcal and gave us a wonderful tutorial on it, and presented us with two mezcals that perfectly suited our flavor preferences. May was wonderfully welcoming and had such a positive and uplifting attitude and paid such great attention to us the whole time...

An incredible location in Oaxaca centro close to everything! The architecture and experience are gorgeous and one of a kind. There was construction happening above the reception area which woke us up around 8am, but the [beautiful] church bells go off even earlier so it didn’t really bother us. The view from the roof is worth every penny! My wife enjoyed her massage, and we both enjoyed the cenote...

Ended a food tour here and had a really great corn cake dessert that was delicious. The staff was super friendly and the architecture and space was very nice, relaxed, and welcoming. Would return for a full meal and possibly the hotel in the future.

The hotel has great access to everything in town. Very walkable. Mayra at the front desk was a delight. Really sweet and friendly every time we saw her. Christian at the restaurant was also great. Really great service all around. We enjoyed interacting with the hotel staff, even housekeeping was kind and attentive. I would recommend Otro Oaxaca if wanting to stay right in the heart of el centro.

This review is specifically about the spa. The massages were excellent, and the service was nice. But I was most excited about the Cenote. While it was physically attractive (as was the hotel), the bathroom part of the spa was substandard for paying near US prices. I expected that the shower would be hot (it was not); I expected no smell of mold (and there was).
