Common Complaints
While reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor recurring issues or criticisms have been noted:
- Room Size & Privacy: Some guests found certain rooms to be "a tad small for the price". The glass-enclosed showers in Design and Design Deluxe rooms, while stylish, were sometimes mentioned as lacking privacy.
- Breakfast Variety (for extended stays): One guest, during a four-day stay, wished for a bit more variety in the breakfast buffet, particularly a wider range of Asian food options.
- In-Room Facilities (older reviews): An older review mentioned that "in-room facilities are a bit old", though this is not a widespread recent complaint. Another review mentioned general issues with cleanliness and amenity quality, suggesting it "may not fully meet the expectations set by its pricing."
Overall, Ohla Barcelona is highly recommended for those seeking a luxurious and stylish stay with exceptional service and a prime location in Barcelona's vibrant center.

The view of our room is stunning. The rooftop is gorgeous. The location is unbeatable. The service is fairly good. The only flaws: The breakfast is very mediocre, not much choices for hot dishes and the coffees taste not well. The layout of toilet room is not so pleasant (enclosed space). The bathroom amenities especially the body lotion is in a tiny jar and it doesn’t get changed by housekeepers ...

I booked this hotel for a solo trip and was genuinely blown away by the experience. As a wheelchair user, travelling alone can be challenging — but the staff here went above and beyond from the moment I made my first enquiry. Every part of my stay was made easy. The accessible room was genuinely accessible, the shower setup worked perfectly for me, and I always felt safe and supported. Staff cons...

We went to celebrate San Valentine’s Day at the Plasshola restaurant and in the offer that was advertised online there was the rooftop experience included. Once we finished dinner the restaurant personnel told us that we could go upstairs and enjoy the view. We were very excited about it after enjoying our dinner. So we were looking forward to take a photo of us with Barcelona view from the roofto...

Lower cost Rooms are very average. Common areas are very nice and rooftop bar has a good vibe. Sadly rooms let this place down; quality of decor, finish, sound-proofing and so on makes them just not the same level of luxury as the rest of the building, nor the price tag.
