2. Key Highlights

Guests consistently rave about several aspects of the Limelight Hotel Denver:

  • Location: Its unbeatable position adjacent to Union Station is a major draw, providing easy access to the airport via light rail and placing guests within walking distance of numerous attractions, restaurants, and the trendy LoDo neighborhood. Proximity to venues like Ball Arena and Coors Field is also highly valued.
  • Design: The hotel features a beautiful, modern, and chic aesthetic, characterized by an "urban-alpine" blend with rustic charm. Interiors often include blonde wood, Scandinavian furniture, and an extensive collection of original art by 32 local artists, which is showcased throughout public spaces and corridors.

  • Amenities: Notable perks include complimentary bicycle rentals, a 24/7 fitness center equipped with Peloton bikes, complimentary car service within a one-mile radius, and in-room Lavazza coffee makers. Guests also appreciate the daily complimentary reception (Happy Hour) and access to Therabody products for recovery. The hotel also offers an "Audi Experience," allowing guests to utilize Audi vehicles for shuttle service or test drives. Additionally, pets are welcomed with their own in-room dog bed and water bowl. Complimentary entry to the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver is also a unique cultural perk.

3. Room Quality

The 200 rooms and suites are described as modern yet cozy, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that offer impressive views of Union Station, downtown Denver, or the Rocky Mountains. Guests frequently praise the "exceptionally comfortable beds" adorned with pillowtop mattresses and Frette Italian sheets, ensuring a restful sleep. Room design incorporates knotty wood headboards, modern exposed concrete warmed by pine, and an "artsy design." The Limelight Hotel Denver houses the on-site Ajax Downtown restaurant (formerly Citizen Rail), which serves American cuisine for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. It features an open, live-fire kitchen and emphasizes seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. While some past reviews mentioned service issues in the restaurant, recent feedback indicates "top-notch" service and delicious food. Guests staying at the hotel can enjoy a "highly-rated breakfast" (American options) and a $10 daily food & beverage credit. From a phone call “day of” confirming parking options & early arrival, to check in, the actual stay & check out … customer service was impeccable! Everyone was SO helpful & knowledgable. We booked through Chase “The Edit” and all the extra amenities were exactly as offered. Room upgrade, welcome beverage, nice surprise treat of Perrier & snacks delivered to the room, and the $100 property credit ...

I had a great stay here! Easily recommended. If you're flying through Denver airport, the location is very convenient being steps away from Union Station and the very affordable train that runs back and forth. Great rooms, everything in excellent condition, feels very new (as of time of writing in late 2025). Friendly people at the front desk, nice little restaurant and bar on site. Really have ...

The Limelight in Denver is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff from start to finish was amazing, the room was chic and elegant, very elevated stay. Location couldn’t be better, being so close to all Denver has to offer, ball arena, empower field, great restaurants, night life, and union station. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Spent a week in Denver and everything about this place was wonderful. Soaking tub was a great antidote to chill/dry Denver air. Comfy & cozy room overall. Ajax restaurant (room service) was universally excellent (French Onion soup was a standout) for multiple meals. Literally no complaints about anything, and that's rare!

I came to denver because I was graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with my masters and wanted to be in Denver instead of staying in Greenly where the school is. I used my platinum Amex to stay here and it was an overall good stay. I loved that they gave me a $60 daily breakfast/lunch credit that could be used up until 2pm unlike a lot of other hotels who's breakfast ends at like 11...
