Kitchenettes, while available, have been noted as small with limited provisions and faulty drawers.

The restaurant is described as offering a "cozy and elegant ambience." For lighter options or casual meetings, a coffee shop is available, along with 24-hour room service offering an extensive menu. 8. Common Complaints

While overall satisfaction is high, recurring criticisms primarily focus on the condition of some rooms. Guests have reported that certain suites, particularly their bathrooms and kitchenettes, appear "dated" and are in need of renovation to align with the Kempinski brand's premium image. Specific issues include small master bedrooms lacking space for luggage, old tiles with visible cracks, musty odors in shower areas, inadequate drainage leading to flooding, and inconveniently placed light switches. The kitchenettes have been described as very small, with poorly placed cutlery drawers and a lack of extra plates. Furthermore, recent guests have noted that the reception area was undergoing renovation, leading to a lack of seating, and the pick-up/drop-off driveway is narrow. One isolated complaint also cited a "poor selection and non-service" at breakfast.

Very good location. Central to many places. Very convenient to buy Taobao and dianping as it’ll be placed in the lobby or delivered to your room. Only problem was that the baby cot was TOO low and very difficult to put baby in to sleep. Service by Lily and Simon was prompt and helpful. Provided great help during my stay with my family. Service was overall very pleasant and room keeping very prom...

Strategic location. Not far from the crowded East Nanjing Road yet in a quiet area. There are two mrt lines nearby. Line 2 and 13. Convenient starting point to explore Shanghai by mrt. Nearest mall is Tai Koo Hui. Less than 10 minutes walk away. Shout out to exceptional front desk personnel Brian Shen and Zoe Xu. They are very helpful in giving information. Especially Brian Shen who goes out of h...

Visited in late August when the weather was very warm. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner off Nanjing Road West, so it feels calm while still being pretty convenient. Taikoo Hui mall and the West Nanjing Road subway station are just a 5–10 minute walk, and you can reach the start of East Nanjing Road’s walking street in about 15–20 minutes. There’s even a 7-11 right outside plus a few smal...

Great hotel in a central place. In particular for families with young children as the suites allow them to go sleep earlier. We also forgot some items which they promptly helped us retrieve/courier. Thanks again!

Stayed for 4 nights and overall had a decent experience. Things started off on a great note with a smooth pre-arrival email and a nice upgrade, thanks to Titanium membership – always a nice touch. Upon arrival, staff were helpful in assisting with my luggage and getting everything up to the room. Housekeeping was on point for the first two days – room was tidy and well kept. But for the last two ...
