Absolutely loved the location of this hotel, their amazing breakfast and the bed. Our room was small, but the super comfy bed did it for us. Our 40-days Euro trip in Oct & Nov 2025 covering 10 cities started in Oslo and I must say the breakfast here wins hands down. Great variety and impeccable quality. Kudos to the F&B team!

Very excellent staff and breakfast. The breakfast had a ton of variety. The rooms were on the smaller side but it was manageable with 2 people. The rooms were so quiet I slept very comfortably. The hotel did NOT have parking, I'd use public transport next time. However, everything was walking distance from main attractions. Loved my stay here!

Great location! We were staying here for a few days before going on a cruise and we were very happy with the location and service. The location is right on the main street so it was lively and yet the room was quiet and clean. We were able to walk right to the hotel from the train station which was nice as well. The front desk people were so helpful and kind and made us feel welcome right away....

We spent a night at the Karl Johan Hotel in Oslo and were genuinely impressed from the moment we walked in. The location is incredible — right on Karl Johans Gate, within easy walking distance of the Royal Palace, the Opera House, and some of the city’s most scenic streets. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere that makes you feel immediately settled after a day of travel. The lobby and common ...

The hotel is very well located for exploring Oslo, with the main attractions a 15-20 minute walk away. We didn't use public transport because we prefer to explore on foot in each city we visit. The hotel is located on Oslo's main street, so you can easily go shopping, eat, and stroll around. The only thing we didn't like was the "maze" we had to navigate to get to our room from the elevators; it f...

Excellent location and comfortable stay. Karl Johan Hotel is right in the city center — just a short walk to the Royal Palace, shops, and restaurants. The room was clean and cozy, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast had a nice variety of choices. Even though it’s in a busy area, the atmosphere inside the hotel felt calm and relax...
