It was my first trip to Kunming on September 2025 and was lucky to stay in this hotel. The hotel is well located with a lot of wards like a tennis court. The room was perfect and loved the bathlub style. I was granted some lovely amenities. The restaurant buffet was excellent especially during breakfast and dinner. I loved the fitness room and the spa. The staffers were attentive and reactive to an...

Staff can’t understand much English even at the reception. The breakfast restaurant was not well kept. Stains could be seen in many places. Some of the salt and pepper shakers were completely empty as if no one ever checked. Food was average. Housekeeping staff was not informed on customers’ needs. The room was stuffy and not prepared for guest arrival…. The one thing we noticed was that th...

Lovely gardens, difficult to find even one staff that speak basic English so thank goodness my partner speaks Mandarin. The pool feels extremely governed and full of locals. Older men and women swimming hacking their lungs out by spitting at each end of the pool, a man gurgling and spitting out water loudly into the rubbish bin, very disgusting and too busy. Life guard telling me I need a swim hat...

Nice hotel in Kunming and the place is well maintained. Rooms are big and reflect the Intercontinental hotel standard. Service is impeccable and breakfast spread is good. Stayed for 2 nights recently. Only downside is location of the hotel if you want to go into the city or look for food elsewhere. Have a little commication issue if you don't speak Mandarin.

We arrived late and tired and were marched about 7km to our room only to find it reeked of smoke. It took forever to get a new room. This lost hour was not properly compensated. A hotel that doesn’t check their rooms deserves 1 star. Be warned that this place is gigantic and any if you want to go anymore in the hotel it’s a long long walk.

This is a very nice InterContinental. We used a free IHG night to book here and stayed for just a night, and it was the perfect spot to take a rest day between destinations on our trip. The rooms themselves are quite nice and modern and feature a very nice shower, comfy bed, and a nice deck space with Bali style outdoor couch to lounge on. The breakfast spread is very impressive. Much nicer than I...
