8. Common Complaints
While reviews are largely positive, a few recurring issues have been noted:
- Bathroom Door Design: Some guests find the glass sliding bathroom doors to be a design element that is not practical, especially when traveling with friends, as it lacks privacy.
- Noise: Occasional noise from the street, sometimes extending late into the evening due to city work, has been mentioned as an issue for some guests.
- Room Amenities: While some room categories offer coffee/tea facilities, others do not, leading to a desire for complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby for all guests.
- Cleaning Issues (Infrequent): In isolated cases, some rooms have been found to be not thoroughly cleaned upon arrival, with minor debris or missing items like extra towels. The hotel has an eco-friendly cleaning policy where rooms are cleaned on request to save resources.
- Spa Access Misinformation: One guest noted that advertised access to a nearby spa was no longer available due to a terminated partnership, which was not updated in the booking information.
- Bedding: For rooms with two beds and multiple occupants who are not couples, the 140cm wide beds with only one duvet per bed can be a minor inconvenience.

Location and the fact that the hotel is pet-friendly were the main reasons for staying at Hobo. The cool style is a big plus and I would probably stay again. Overall, the rooms are large and comfortable. Our dog loved the dog bowls, towels, and food provided. The gentleman from Chicago at the restaurant was superb — unfortunately I can’t remember his name, but he was incredibly kind and friendly....

I so loved the property and it's locations. I stayed in the base category room and was surprised when I was told THAT the base category rooms ARE NOT provided with the basic amenity of a kettle and tea/coffe in the rooms. This is a big downer for me and i don't think I would be able to recommend this property to any I know. I would have enjoyed the stunning room interior more with a self made cup ...

Stayed at Hobo Hotel Helsinki and overall had a good experience. The location is excellent—right in the city center and very convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is comfortable and everything else was fine. The only downside was that the floor in the room was quite dusty, which could be improved. Other than that, no major issues and I’d consider staying here again.

Urban Cool Meets Cozy Comfort Hobo Hotel Helsinki nails that modern-but-welcoming vibe. The location is fantastic—right in the city center, steps from shops, sights, and the central station—yet the rooms are quiet and relaxing.
