Guests consistently commend the hotel's stunning and beautifully decorated ambiance, comfortable and stylish rooms, and the professional and friendly demeanor of its staff.
2. Key Highlights
Guests love the hotel's captivating design, which blends historical features like coffered ceilings and original chandeliers with a vibrant, maximalist, and quirky aesthetic inspired by local university culture and Rhode Island's pop culture. Its central downtown location is a major draw, offering easy access to city attractions and universities. The spacious and well-appointed rooms, featuring plush beds, are frequently highlighted for luxurious comfort. The presence of a spa is noted as an unusual and welcome amenity for a Graduate hotel.
3. Room Quality
The hotel's 294 rooms and suites are described as spacious, immaculate, and thoughtfully furnished, providing a luxurious and comfortable experience. Many rooms offer enough space for multiple guests and feature king-size mattresses, even in configurations with two beds. The decor incorporates strong pops of color, playful patterns, and boutique touches, such as Malin + Goetz bath products. In-room amenities include a 40-inch flat-screen TV with cable channels, a private bathroom, free toiletries, a hairdryer, a refrigerator, and free Wi-Fi. However, some guests have reported inconsistencies in room quality, mentioning issues like bubbling wallpaper, missing mini-fridge doors, and rooms that felt "run down." Noise from the central air conditioning has also been a point of feedback.
4. Dining Experience
Graduate by Hilton Providence offers several dining options. Poindexter Coffee serves daily breakfast, light fare, and lunch sandwiches, and is often described as a delightful coffee shop. For lunch, dinner, and drinks, guests can visit Reiners Bar and Game Room, which provides a sports-themed atmosphere. The hotel also features a full-service Starbucks on-site.

Other sources indicate average prices around $196 to $259, with potential deals starting from $155-$160. The value for money is generally rated as good, with scores of 7.7 by Agoda and 7.2 by Momondo.
8. Common Complaints
While overwhelmingly positive, some recurring issues have been noted by guests. These include complaints about certain rooms appearing "run down," with specific mentions of bubbling wallpaper and missing mini-fridge doors, suggesting a need for consistent maintenance across all units. The central air conditioning can be loud, which may require earplugs for light sleepers. Additionally, the self-parking garage is not directly connected to the hotel, which can be an inconvenience for some guests.

An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. I was here for a very special occasion, and the staff—specifically Lea Sunaz at the front desk—went above and beyond to make it perfect. She was amazing to work with and helped secure a Presidential Suite that made the entire weekend unforgettable. The hotel itself is stunning and full of character, but it’s the high-level service from pe...

Pros: great location, cute decor, big suites, 2 king beds Cons: heat didn't work, shower temperature never got above lukewarm, maintenance was not helpful When we got into our room the heat was off and it was 50 degrees. Hours after turning the heat on, it still had only gotten to 57. There were 2 units in our suite, 1 was blowing warm air and the other was blowing cold air. After calling the fro...

The lobby did not have heat, the room did not have coffee, or a do not disturb sign, and the second night did not have a bathmat. There were paper cups in the room, but no glasses. We found the lights were way too bright. There was no way to get a soft reading light. It did not feel like a professionally run place.

This hotel does not disappoint providing a wonderful aesthetic and amazing historic atmosphere. However, there are problems with the building, which are understandable due to the age of the hotel. We checked in and the heat was not working in our room. We were moved and upgraded to a suite with no problem- it seemed to be the only warm place in the hotel. However, the rest of our stay was one litt...

We were forced to book at this hotel to compete in cheer comp. The stay was expensive $500 for 2 nights, so my exceptions were high. 1. NO hot water to take a shower! The athletes had to take cold showers 2. NO continental breakfast, unable to charge food to the room 3. The disappointment in my face when the Parking bridge attached to the hotel and the elevators were out of order!!!!!! Forcing yo...

Rooms are super cute! Lobby is gorgeous. Small and absolutely no storage in room or bathroom. I get it’s an older building but put a shelf in the bathroom. No outlets in bathroom. Handheld shower kept falling down. Fixtures loose. No tissues. Had to plug kettle on the floor as flung wouldn’t reach. Room HOT. Turned off heater and room was still warm when it was freezing outside.
