Generally the rooms in orangery and club are not well designed (though they look nice enough), with orangery missing air con, which was a problem as our first two days were still in oppressive heat. But aside from that this is a lovely hotel with wonderful grounds and an incredible kitchen, with both the brasserie and the Michelin noted restaurant serving up excellent food at a reasonable price (i...

This was our third stay at this slice of heaven; the first was in 1984, so we've seen the evolution of this wonderful property. It was great in 1984, still great in 2006, and great yet again in 2025. Nonpareil setting, beautifully remodeled rooms, excellent bistro fare -- just the best. You will feel pampered, and that's a very good feeling!

Incredibly disappointing - no dinner options offered for guests if the restaurant hasn’t been reserved a month in advance. They also hold any lost items for only 24hrs after stay ends, at which point the items they’ve found are “unavailable” for return.
